Does anyone know anything about this other organization (not the Knights)? I am very curious to know how they define “Catholic values”.

Is this truly a good thing - from a spiritual perspective, and is it good for the Church?

I’ve never heard of either organization. The Catholic Knights is NOT the Knights of Columbus. I have no reason to believe they aren’t a legitimate organization, but they should not be confused with the KofC or its fraternal benefits. Looking at their fact sheet, it appears they’ve been around longer than the Knights of Columbus.

Interesting.

AHHHH!!! Good catch! I just assumed (did not read carefully enough) that they were talking about the KofC. I was wondering how in the world do you merge them with some other group - it sounded too weird to be true, because I had it wrong.

Still very interesting though. I would imagine they are trying to compete with the KofC from an insurance perspective.

I wondered the same thing, so dug around the web site a little. From my brief glance, it seems like a reputable organization, founded in 1885. I can imagine some frustration at being confused with the younger, larger KofC.

The Knights of Columbus was founded in 1882, which makes it older, as was a much larger, with nearly 2 million members worldwide.

You are correct…for some reason I had 1892 stuck in my head. 🤷
