*This Rock * and New Oxford Review are my regulars. Each has a different approach and focus, but both are great.
I highly recommend both.

I have just started getting This Rock magazine; it’s great!

I also subscribe to Envoy online and AD2000 (Australian). 🙂

If you go to www.ad2000.com.au you can read the past issues online.

Medjugorje Magazine is my favorite. It has stories of conversion, evangelization, apologetics, and it’s easy to read. It’s the only magazine that I read cover to cover. It only comes out four times a year. Having met some of the people in the stories, that makes it even more interesting.

I tried searching for this in other posts and could not find it.
So I am asking what is your favourite catholic magazine and catholic newspaper?

I have several:

This Rock
Envoy (when they manage to publish an issue)
Lay Witness
Crisis
Magnificat (more of a devotional)
The Catholic Answer

I subscribe to This Rock and The Catholic Answer. I also enjoy Our Sunday Visitor.

I have a subscription to St. Anthony Messenger, but was wondering what other Catholic Mags should I subscribe too as well. So what is your favorite Catholic Magazine and why? Which ones do your find to be the most Orthodox?

Right now we only receive Catholic Parent.

Love it love it love it.

Faith and Family and Catholic Parent. Both excellent publications:)

God Bless

Thank you both. My sister-in-law is pregnant and I will recomend this to her. Hopefully one day my husband and I will be blessed with a family too.

By far the ‘New Oxford Review’ IMHO the best Catholic Magazine out there.

Although not totally Catholic both Touchstone and First Things are IMO FABULOUS magazines. Not so much doctrine as current issues discussed from the perspective of a very traditional outlook. When either of these magazines arrive I set aside a couple of hours to just sit and revel in the wonderful articles.

I used to subscribe to Faith and Family. It is excellent but wish it would come more than 4 times a year. This Rock published by Catholic Answers is far and above the best magazine if you want to learn about the Faith and how to defend/explain it to others. It’s easy to read, entertaining at times, and has been so useful to our family. It has helped me to better explain matters of the Faith to my children who are getting older and questioning why we believe the things we are taught by the Church. My husband began subscribing way back in the 80’s when This Rock was sent to us in an envelope on a few sheets of paper. Karl Keating started out in a very humble manner and now has graduated to a very fine publication.

I read my first print version of This Rock and I thought it was good.

I also recently picked up a copy of Inside Vatican at a local Catholic bookstore, and I liked that one so much I subscribed to it!

They have a special issue commemorating John Paul II if you are interested. Their web site is insidethevatican.com/

Thank you all so much, I will be looking into all of these. My husband and I enjoy reading we wanted to choose a new magazine or two that are worth reading. We have been whittling out our other subscriptions that we had gotten through our nieces and nephews magazine drives because there is not much in the way of substance these days in general magazines. I am sure there are so many more, so keep the recommendations coming!

I also recommend This Rock. One of the few magazines I read cover to cover most of the time.

We also subscribe to Faith and Family. Being only a few issues, and having few interesting articles (for me at the time), I only wish for more.

I read on a semi-regular basis This Rock, The Catholic Answer and Crisis.

St. Anthony’s Messenger

and

New Oxford Review ( a conservative periodical)
