“The six were arrested on a charge of “disobeying a lawful order.” The priest explained that while it is legal to hold protests in front of the White House, protesters are not allowed to remain stationary, including if they kneel down and pray.”""
Now, if they’d been OWS protesters, they could have camped out for weeks.

Don’t worry; these aren’t the first to be arrested for protest. Dan Choi, Other Gay Rights Protesters Arrested After Chaining Selves to White House Fence cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20002942-503544.html April 20, 2010
More than 700 people have been arrested in sit-ins at the White House over the past two weeks, hoping to press the State Department, or, if that fails, the Obama administration, to reject a controversial new oil pipeline between Canada and the U.S.

I wonder how Gandhi would have felt if his civil disobedience to end British colonialism competed with about 20 other protesting groups and he had to form a line! Its hard for me to imagine Jesus or his disciples protesting anything as well; generally, they practiced civil disobedience by disobeying laws not going up to Pilate or Caesar and holding signs. Hopefully, however, modern day civil disobedience does some good. 🙂

Right, so it’s ok for OWS people to SLEEP but these people are arrested for praying.

Just the start.

I don’t think the administration and the secular agenda will back down. Catholics already have their backs to the wall, and there is nowhere to back down further without becoming active supporters of grave sin.

Actually, protesters belonging to the Occupy movement were arrested in front of the White House in December

No, the law is that protesters in front of the White House need to keep on their feet and on the move. Anyone who sits down, or chains themself to the fence or tries to sleep there will be warned, then arrested if the warning is not obeyed…

Never thought I’d ever say this but…time for civil disobedience.

As was pointed out, OWS protesters were arrested outside the White House. However, there’s a practical element that goes with law enforcement. A few dozen protestors are likely to be arrested on the spot. Thousands, not so much…

If the March for Life had 400,000 - 500,000 attending this year can you imagine the number of people who would march in protest of this government mandate?
