Sue,

You may be correct, how about we both listen more carefully. I do not believe either Parties or candidates are 100% evil. I also understand abortion is the numero uno issue. I know I have heard positive things about Bush, nothing negative.

May I ask a stupid question here. Where is the spell check! I need it.

Happy Listening,

Nod
Hi. I was thinking about your post and I remembered another issue they had with Kerry. That is his taking of Communion while he is promoting abortion. As for their position on Bush, hmm. I’ll have to listen harder. I am pro-Bush so I might not be listening with the same “ear” that others do. They will talk about him because he is our President and he is pro-faith. He is very supportive of religion. He is anti-abortion. I think that they will talk about him in context of their Catholic faith. Which makes sense. Sue

I would guess that I listen to 60-70 hours of EWTN radio each week. It is great.

For those of us who do not have Catholic radio in our areas (e.g. Boise, Idaho), Sirius Satellite Radio is awesome. One of the 140 channels of music, news, sports, and entertainment is EWTN. I listen to it everywhere. One note: the other satellite radio company, XM Radio, does not yet have EWTN.

You get it that far away??? I live only 50 miles to the east of Ann Arbor and on the days I can get it I usually have to listen through static. Every once in a while it will come in clear but usually I just get angry and switch stations.
Here’s some reception improvement tips, especially since so many in the poll listen on AM radio.

What I don’t like is some radios that have their antennas in the power cords! AND the don’t give you a connection to add an exterior antenna.

go with God!

I listen to relevant radio on 820 AM out of Chicago. Until I found relevant radio, I listened to WYLL 1160 and WAUR 930.

Morning air was much better with Jeff Cavins than with Theresa Tomeo. She’s starting to become annoying, so I listen to WYLL or WAUR when her show is on.

Keep looking, Nod. When you find it, let us ***all ***know.😃

I wish I could get Catholic Radio here - we have a “Catholic” station, but (well, the name say’s it’s Catholic, but it sure doesn’t sound like it. And don’t even get me onto the subject of our local Catholic TV channel - Thank God I can get EWTN on cable.). I listen on the Internet. I find it helps me to meditate, to answer questions that I have (and that others have asked me), and to lead me to greater understanding out our Church.

At work I listen on the internet. At home I can listen on radio am820. I used to listen to EWTN on shortwave but the reception was so bad at times…it was just too frustrating. I like relevant radio, I think the Popcek’s have some interesting ideas. I really love listening to Fr Corapi. Today he was talking about dryness in prayer. How we need to presevere in prayer through the dryness because that prayer shows how much we love Jesus…when we do not seem to be getting a reward. I know the sweetness that sometimes comes in prayer and it is difficult to pray through the dryness. Fr Corapi’s admonition was something I needed to hear today.

I don’t think I get Catholic radio in my area (I live in North Carolina), but I may get EWTN on television. How can I find out? Does anyone here live in NC? If so, on what channel is EWTN broadcast?

God bless,

Chris

I live in Southern Jersey and listen to WISP from Doylestown, PA. The station though hasn’t been the same since the station manager was “let go” in April. Last I heard he is working on getting Catholic radio to NJ. Since reception of WISP is difficult where I live, I’m hoping he gets this new station. I also hope it reaches New York City. They sure could use it up there.

I live in Southern New Jersey and listen to WISP AM from Doylestown, PA. Unfortunately, the reception isn’t very good but improves as I drive west to work. The station though just isn’t the same since the station manager was “let go” in April. He is now attempting to start Catholic radio in New Jersey. Pray it all works out.

I listen to Catholic Radio daily on 1540 AM. I have learned SO much about my Catholic faith in the short time that I have been listening! (6-9 months!) Except when I’m in my vehicle 😦 , as my radio is out. Praise God for Catholic Radio! May it spread like wildfire throughout our nation! Support your local Catholic Radio station!

We don’t have a Catholic radio station in our area, so I am an internet-only listener; we do have a cable Catholic TV station with quite a bit of locally-produced programming, though (go figure).

I’ve gotten into the habit of listening to and downloading the archived programs at the Catholic Answers archives and EWTN audio library. There’s so much material there - you can satisfy whims to hear back- to-back favorite programs and series (up to the saturation point).

I listened to Catholic Radio starting in 1992 on WEWN short-wave. That was great, but reception in the afternoon is a major problem.

I listen online some now that we have broadband, but my main source is now Sirius Satellite Radio. It is so convenient! I have the boombox in the living room, it has battery backup so I could take it outside if we wanted. Then I have a small stereo set in my bedroom with an auxiliary connection, so I have that on all night! Then I have the car kit, so I’m rarely without Catholic Radio!

We only have EWTN, which is my favorite, but I’d like to be able to listen to Ave Maria and Relevant Radio.

This is a truly great blessing!

I listen on WQOP Queen of Peace Radio out of Dora/Birmingham. I live just a hop, skip and a jump from the EWTN studios. In Irondale, AL.

John Martignoni is one of my favorites. He is on EWTN Open Line on Thursdays. HE ROCKS! 👍 He is an excellent apologist. Check out his website: www.biblechristiansociety.com

I listen as often as I can. I can pick up 89.1 FM in may car but the signal is weak and I cannot always get it in the house. I watch EWTN on Dish and listen to EWTN archives as often as I can. There is awesome programing there. Several Scott Hahn series. I also listen to archive programs at www.catholic.com. What a blessing.

I love Catholic radio, I have learned so much in these past few
years that it is incredible. Catholic Answers is definatly one
of my favorites! I listen to it to some extent every day, usually
several hours a day. 🙂

I recently subscribed to Sirius radio just to be able to listen to Catholic radio. I drive many hours a day in my work, and love being able to listen to Catholic radio.
