In the wake of what’s been going on in Catholic high schools. One high school lost its Catholic identity for refusing to accept a contract from the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. Another high school went under fire because they accepted the contract. However, the media de posted it as having to do with the with two of the teachers being gay. Since this happened some people have been asking questions such as:

“Will Cathedral also be firing staff who have had a divorce or an affair? While we’re at it, let’s go after people who wear 2 different types of cloth (Leviticus 19:19) and have tattoos (Leviticus 19:28). If not, this is the very definition of hypocrisy.”

“So, if they’re worried about staying in line with Catholic doctrine, shouldn’t teachers in all archdiocesan schools who have been divorced and/or remarried also be “separated” with? Just a thought.”

I had a teacher who remarried, but she had her marriage annulled. As the quotes questioned, should teachers be fired from a Catholic School for having affairs, divorces, remarried, having two different types of clothes or tattoos?

I’m not sure either of the news (World or Catholic) are the appropriate forums for this discussion. Suggest the moderators move to another.
