But one has:Interestingly, we have not heard a priest weigh in on this…
The principle said that she and the priest discussed the matter with the student’s parents
Could you show me the Church’s official statement on pronouns or names?the Church’s beliefs to call this girl a boy for the sake of their comfort.
Then there is no obligation to call them anything.Could you show me the Church’s official statement on pronouns or names?
I don’t think this is correct. I think this has been around forever, and it has always been a issue for some kids. The difference, is that in the past they lived terrified and miserable lives, fearful of letting their families know and hiding their true selves away for fear of the retribution of being honest about who they were. No, kids used to not do this. The only reason why kids think this way is because they are confused, perhaps a very low level of self esteem, and suddenly society has told them gender can be assigned
A lot of LGBT young people are afraid that after they come out and their parents and others know that they are gay or lesbian or bisexual or transgender, they will reject them. And it’s not a totally unfounded fear. According to some estimates, up to 40% of homeless youth are LGBT. That’s why coming out is so difficult because there is always a little fear that the people who love you might not love you any more once they know the real you.Why would you reject your son?
I think we need to wait for doctrinal development before slamming the door.it is not wrong to have transgender feelings and tendencies, but wrong to assume the opposite gender.
