I think if you check up “40 Days for Life” campaign you might get the answer you are looking for, i.e., that prayer does work. God bless!
 
The abortion rate in the US has come down (of course, it’s still WAY too high, and even one abortion is one too many) to its lowest point since 1975. In addition, the number of abortion clinics (again, even one is too many) has dropped by 75% since the mid-90’s. These stats are from lifenews.com.
 
I saw flyers in the local Catholic church for a group that supports women after abortion. I thought it was a great idea. I think it must help them through the trauma of what they did. Wouldn’t reaching out to those women who have already gone through with it be a good idea? From what I understand, the process is horribly traumatic to the women and, in most cases, they struggle with it for the rest of their lives. There is not time for a lot of compassion at these abortion places. The women need to know that they will be forgiven if they repent. I fear that these girls go there without knowing what they are in for and suffer terribly. There is zero mental health care for the woman afterwards. I think, that is a horrible oversight by the government supposedly defending “a women’s right to choose”. Many times, these are kids from broken homes or kids pressured into this by their own parents. Please show them compassion, too. They are victims as well.

Save as many as you can, but help those wounded souls, too.
 
Right - that’s Project Rachel. They help post-abortive women (and men) reconcile with God. They have retreats called Rachel’s Vineyard, and their ph. is 1-800-HOPE4ME.
 
It’s nice to know that groups exist to help. Do you think protesters could let the women know about it? Maybe it will help them. I don’t know if it’s legal to approach women going in or out of the clinics. I’ve never been to either a protest or a clinic. Does anyone know?

I’ve known a few people that had an abortion when they were younger. They were torn up about it. There was no ‘yay for women’s rights’ attitudes from them. They seemed to deeply regret their actions. My MIL worked with troubled teens and she saw the same thing. These are kids in a bad way, most times.
