I never knew God and my church wanted me to pack heat!

I don’t know which gun to buy, or which ones my kids should have!

WGWJP?

What Gun Would Jesus Pick?
Peter Gunn of course!

God and your church want you to be able to defend yourself and your loved ones from harm. The CCC, which, according to the Introduction by Pope John Paul II, is the authoritative norm for Catholic moral behavior and Part 3, Section II, Chapter 2, Article V, Paragraphs 2264-2265 clearly states that not only do we have a right but a DUTY and not only a duty but a GRAVE duty to protect ourselves and other innocent individuals from harm. In most cases (not ALL but MOST) this can best be done with a firearm.

If you are asking this question in all seriousness, you are welcome to come to a website that I co-own & operate and firearms experts will be happy to answer any and all questions that you might have.

Being God, Jesus would have no need for a gun. After all, He could call upon “more than twelve legions of angels” (see Matthew 26:53) and being a spiritual being, one angel is better than several fully armed Battalions.

My sense of humor keeps me coming back to this thread for entertainment though I have given up on being heard.

“Missing the point” and “taking aim at a strawman that is easier to hit” are the classical fallacies that I see here.

Gun control does not take away a Christian’s right to pack heat. Maybe abortion is the political trump card in the voting booth as far as the magisterium is concerned. There are other Christian values that I would like our leaders to respect. I won’t let their position on this one point buy my vote if they neglect the rest of the Commandments and Beatitudes.

I hear many people who justify voting other than pro life argue this point…I suggest you be specific and start a thread on such a position that you think a party neglects.

Which of course is your right-as long as you realize you are not in accordance with the teachings of our church when you do so.

But let me ask you a question-why would you EVER support someone who supports the killing of our children???
