can anyone suggest any sources for resources esp tracts for evangelism?
there’s plenty of Protestant-produced material but haven’t found any Catholic equivalents so far

There’s this outfit called Catholic Answers. 😉 Thier “Pillar of Fire, Pillar of Truth” is one of my favorites. The Christophers also put out some great material.

Thanx
who are the Christophers?
32 pages is too long for handing out in the street IMO

Our Sunday Visitor produces a brochure called “Top Ten Questions Catholics Are Asked.” Although geared toward Catholics I think it is an effective evangilization tool because people will more likely read something like this if they think they aren’t the intended audience. It’s straight forward question and answer style is comprehensive, but not “dumbed-down.” I carry them with me all the time. They find their way into airplane magazines, Gideon Bibles in hotel rooms, etc., etc.

I stumbled upon these which look like the ones left by protestants who visit my door. They have a Jack Chick ‘feel’ and it makes me wonder if this is a good thing or bad…😉

many thanx for all ur suggestions:thumbsup:
now to choose which ones to get and how to distribute them

What a great idea! I never thought about doing this. I would be curious to hear other creative ways people distribute these.

Sincerely,

Another way to distribute them is to put them in your reply envelopes when paying your bills, and using them as bookmarks when you lend out your books to your friends, etc.

All excellent ideas! Evangelization can be a tricky topic. I, myself, just spent the day hoping some SDA folks would “passover” my home today. But tracts are innocent enough if distributed in the right manner. I wish we were more into this.

I received e-mail regarding this site just yesterday. They have over 100 phamplets available, and are printable off the internet.

COOL!! 👍

Thanks!! I’ve bookmarked this, and I’m printing off one of the ones on the Bible for my RCIA class. 😃

Theres some great ones that can be found at Rock of Inspiration:

The site seems to be down right now, but when it gets back up, theres a section that is called “Library” (I think:confused: ) that has free printable tracts in brochure form on all the basic differences between Protestants-Catholics, along with issues like abortion and contraception and argues the Catholic position really well 👍
