Catholic View of fascism

I would argue that fascism and nazism is in fact extreme centre because it has both left and right wing characteristics.

I sort of agree. The real issue is that Americans try to force everything onto a simplistic left/right sliding scale. Politics is not really like that. Life is not like that.
 
Nobody ever won a war by dying for their country. They won by making their communist opponent die for international Marxism.
 
That may be. Still, the fact that Georges Bernanos turned against the Francoists after the war in Majorca which he witnessed says something.

Check out his book The Great Cemeteries Under the Moon (aka Diary of My Times) for his account of the Franco regime. It’s not pretty.

I have yet to see a war won with perfectly clean hands. Had the communists won, they would have killed at least as many.
