Hi Everyone!

My fiance and I are getting married on December 12, and I’m planning to start working on the details of the ceremony this summer. I’m planning to make programs so that we can list the order of the mass (we are doing a full mass), the names of people in the wedding party and the song numbers.

Does anyone have a templete or example they could show me? Even a website would be helpful! Thanks!

Microsoft’s website has free templates to download. They aren’t Catholic, but they at least would give you a place to start from. There’s a whole section just for weddings.

I need some help with this topic. I’ve been checking out Catholicbrides.com and I like the programs they have, I’d be interested in designing it with them and just paying for the PDF so I can print it myself, however I can’t figure out what to print it on since it would be so many pages. I think the whole ceremony with the music, since it’s so detailed, would probably be up to 12 pages easily…that’s like 6 sheets of paper folded in half. However, my concern is what paper to use? None of the printable kits out there are for so many pages, I can’t imagine using cardstock for the pages because it’s so thick, and then my imagination is only left with regular paper…But even regular paper, which I’m concerned wouldn’t be all that pretty anyway, would probably be uneven if I took 6 sheets and folded them in half…the edges would stick out a little more for every page I insert and I imagine that would be ugly. Someone please help? Are you supposed to trim the paper?

12 pages would print on 3 sheets if you print on both sides in a clear 10 point font like Times Roman. That’s not so thick that well folded sheets will stick out.

If you wanted, you could use card stock for the covers and plain paper for the two other sheets. I don’t know how formal you want it but I used a very thin ribbon and punched 2 holes to bind together the pages of the program for an Ordination in our parish.

Thanks for the tip! I folder 3 sheets together, and you’re right, it shouldn’t be a problem. But I would like it a little bit more “fancy” than just regular paper…any suggestions on what to use ?

Has anyone here used Catholicbrides.com? Do you recommend it?

I am currently working on my catholic wedding program for my June wedding, I found these this site very helpful:

catholicweddinghelp.com/wedding-planning/11-wedding-program.htm

I also used this template as a basis for my program, it does not include the responses so I made some changes to mine to add the responses but this was still very helpful.

diy.weddingbee.com/topic/catholic-wedding-program-for-a-full-mass

I did not include all the music in my program, I listed the song and what page it could be found on in the church hymnal.

I am printing my program covers on plain card stock and the pages on 100% cotton paper. I am using a scapping booking tool called an edge punch to add a pretty cutout edge to the pages to dress them up a little, I also added two small holes with a mini hole punch to thread a thin ribbon through to tie all the pages together. I am also doing my own invitations so I took the graphics I had on my invitation (a cross with two wedding rings surrounded by roses) and added that to the cover of my program. I think they turned out really nice. I also took my program with me when I met with our priest to make sure I had everything in there the way he was actually going to do the wedding.

mswood has great ideas for using scrapbooking tools. You could use a glossy, photo paper for the front cover. That would make whatever you print on it stand out a bit more. You could use a linen paper for the inside. Access to a paper cutter (guillotine) will be a great help.
