Catholicism - What is it that 'really' bugs you?

As I said in my post, a repentant baptized Christian. The Eucharist should ever be a “y’all come.” Baptism, confession and repentance of sin should always be prerequisites.

Why? Wouldn’t letting a Christians who isn’t repentant come to communion to a lot for him?

Who are we to say who is and isn’t repentant?

If only God knows men’s hearts, why do Christians feel that they have the right to pick and choose who is welcomed at His table?

Isn’t it possible that a non-Christian is more worthy of being at the table than so many supposedly repentant Christians?

So, in essence, we as catholics know where Christ’s presence is and where it is not at all times? And in that knowledge we are limiting Christ’s presence to our catholic churches?

I don’t believe I was catechized that way, nope.

Therein lies most of the issues between Protestants and catholics. There is a misconception that the catholic faith is exclusionary when it is by nature of being Christ’s Church, inclusionary.

This doesn’t mean that sacramental Communion is closed to anyone. It is not.

The Catholic Church welcomes all to the table. While it’s Her express wish that all will know the truth, many choose to deny the truth of the Eucharist, They deny themselves Communion in the Catholic Church.

I had a typo. The 2nd sentence should have read: "The Eucharist should never be a “y’all come.”

Well, I wasn’t sure what the poster meant. I was actually asking a question as to if he/she felt that is true.

I am catholic, but I also realize there are some opinions among catholics that are contrary to catholic teaching. I was trying to clarify if this was the case.

I first and foremost, don’t want this to become a fingerpointing session or a “holier than thou” kind of thing. I’m looking for sharing of what it is that bothers a person with regard to catholicism, not a who’s wrong and who’s right.
