When will you tire of playing games?

What do you think would be a good penance for someone who steals other people’s work and passes it off as their own?

Of course penance is for after you actually make a good Confession. For that, you have to be truly sorry about what you’ve done. 🤷
Kalt, you can try and crucify me all you want because you sound really ridiculous here. For someone who is Catholic, you certainly don’t act like one. Perhaps you too are a convert in which case, that will certainly explain it. Furthermore, he who casts the first stone Kalt. Can you cast it?

Perhaps a solution we can all agree on: when we quote others, be sure to note it. If we forget to note it, and someone points our mistake out, acknowledge the mistake and move on. If we catch someone failing to site a source, point it out assuming it was just an oversight.

Just a suggestion,
Jon

I know all about sin, confession, repentance, and penace. And penance is one “n”, not two.
I couldn’t have been clearer. Yes, I practice penance.

I reiterate:
Since you’re throwing it all back on me instead of dealing with it yourself, it is safe to say that when you know you have been caught, you lash out at others instead of take responsibility for yourself. Everyone sees it, OTCA.
Can you deal with questions YOU are asked?

Well, you chose to avoid answering the question again. 😃

I’ll give you my opinion, which is an opinion that I think many will agree with.

A good penance is to apologize to those you’ve misled and to the one you stole the work from (if possible).

You know I vowed to have nothing further to do with you, but really this is too much. On another forum you crucified anyone who questioned Mel Gibson, by accusing them of casting stones. Now you do it again here, after calling everyone names continually, even fellow Catholics because without evidence you conclude they must have “Protestant” backgrounds. And to be stupifying, you have a thread on this forum where it does not belong, casting stones at President Obama which is full of inaccuracies and your own personal beliefs about his Christianity. You do take the cake. I don’t think personally I have ever met anyone who professes such perfect faith who is so filled with spiteful hate as you express. I bless you and hope someone can reach you.

Dito from me also. Thans Spirit for standing up for us!👍
I have been trouble with OTCA on post also. Can’t wait to see what happens next!🍿

And what is wrong with sticking up for Mel Gibson? He had made the most powerful film known to mankind. Be grateful for it. And as far as Obama is concerned, he is not a Christian. You are NOT Catholic (again), therefore you wouldn’t understand. Please try and worry about your own soul, and the fact you are following false doctrine…I would be much more afraid of that…

the only problem you have with me my young friend is you can’t face the truth so you rebel.

1) I’m not young, I’ve been aroud a long time and seen alot of life.
2) I can handle the Truth, just not the warp way you present it different from other Catholics.
3) John the Baptist was a rebel he formed the first reformation. Jesus was the next rebel he formed the second reformation. I guess I’m in good company.:dancing:
4) They way you post I don’t know if your trying to convince me or yourself. You got alot of anger, I’ll pray for you.
May the Holy Spirit give you inner peace

Christians before the time of the Protestant Reformation learned mostly from homilies, sacraments, the Liturgy and it’s year-long calendar, Christian holidays, devotional practices, family instruction, church architecture, and other sacred art that reflected Biblical themes.
For all these Christian believers, sola Scriptura would have appeared as an absurd abstraction and practical impossibility.
Of course Catholis came first. Protestants always remind me of “white rappers” for some reason. Yeah they talk the talk. But…it isn’t the real thing.

racing 59, do you know the difference between a passionate defender of the church in which Christ established and an angry person who doesn’t know about His church? Well, guess which I am. I have no anger whatsoever, in fact, I am happy and content within Christ’s church. I would not want to be in any other “church”. My Catholic church derives from Christ to Apostle 2,000 years later with an unbroken line of popes. Imagine. Straight from St. Peter until now. No one else can make that claim. When you figure out the truth, you will become the same way. And BTW, the Holy Spirit has given me an inner peace 7 years ago when I had a Supernatural experience, so I would think I am alright in Jesus’s mind. 😉

Passionate Defender. Passion doesn’t have to mean having an angry, snarky, rude, and cruel attitude toward others. A person can be passionate and kind–at least not nasty, for Pete’s sake.

I think that most of the Catholics on the board, who know the faith as well and better than you, also have a problem with your attitude.

And of course your cruelty is equal-opportunity. Even fellow Catholics aren’t protected from your wrath.

If you are a happy person who is happy in her faith, your posts don’t show any sign of that. Your posts are full of hatred and cruelty. And other people’s work.

And you refuse to apologize for that, or to even admit that you did it. Do you really think that Jesus is OK with this behavior? Cruelty, stealing, and deception?

Nothing you do now matters, because you had a “Supernatural experience” 7 years ago. In your mind, because you had this “experience”, you are “right in Jesus’ mind”, Apparently, you don’t think that will ever change. Your behavior doesn’t matter, because of this experience, you are forever "right in Jesus’ mind, and no behavior on your part can change that. And so you are secure.

Boy, if that isn’t OSAS.:rotfl:And presumption.

I’m guessing that in that “visit”, you were instructed to go out an evangelize the world.

I guess Jesus chose people who were murderers, thieves, womanizers and the like and made them Saints and are seated next to Him in Heaven.
But thanks for the reminder…er…oh Catholic one…
Furthermore, you shouldn’t laugh at people’s experiences with Christ because you don’t know what happened. I, like you, are a sinner, am not worthy for Heaven, and don’t think I will get there any time soon. But for you to make fun of my experience with Christ shows pure jealousy on your part. If this supernatural experience ever happened to you. Your attitude about others would change. You sound angry and you are very argumentative toward me and others. You are Catholic? I can’t recall any Catholics here trying to pick a fight with others as you do. Furthermore, this post was not directed to you but to someone else, so MYOB.

In my opinion, as I have followed this thread, you seem to be the only one who consistently undercuts the sincerity of others Catholicity. One would not have to go back far in this thread as well as many others that you have posted in to find you telling other Catholics to “act Catholic” or referring to them as “your young friend”. You have done this to me on several occasions. If you were interested in true dialogue you would forgo these types of comments in the future.

I wasn’t laughing at your “experience”. I was laughing that your conclusion is nothing but OSAS. OSAS is not a Catholic doctrine. That is what’s so funny:).

Even this argument to excuse your bad behavior, “I guess Jesus chose people who were murderers, thieves, womanizers and the like” is right out of the Fundamentalist OSAS handbook.

I knew you were playing a game. Now I know what it is. Congrats for getting away with it for so long. 😉

Wow, that would explain a lot.

You have got to be kinding me OTCA:banghead: Most Catholics on these threads have been gentile and kind, but still get their point across in a loving manner. I have learnt so much from them and others like them. You are a banging gong and a clashing symbol ( Read I Corithians 13), I learn absolutely nothing from your predudice. You are so busey trying to be right, that you do not follow the Catholic faith and the Pope’s teachings. I give up on you and so do many others that post here.:whacky:
