It happened on ‘International Women’s Day’, which is in early March [can’t think of the date offhand]. There was a march in Montreal, and some of them invaded the Cathedral and began vandalizing it by throwing ‘used’ sanitary pads around and tearing up Mass books.

Well I am glad somebody did something to stop them. If those women thought they were being more Catholic than the Pope, they certainly proved to be much less, since they went as far as tearing up Mass books…
 
Sorry I’m a bit late in my response. I was unable to reply yesterday. Still, thank you Soutane and BarbFinnegan for your pieces of information on that specific “protest”.
I take it they would be like hooligans among the peaceful protesters… For though many feminist have rather harsh words against the Church, I doubt they would be in agreement with such hateful acts.
