Catholics For Equality Board Member: Pope is a Closeted Homosexual, ‘Childish Idiot’

MANHATTAN, New York, September 3, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - One board member of the up-and-coming group “Catholics for Equality,” which aims to spread the homosexualist agenda among the Catholic community, is an ex-priest who has called Pope Benedict XVI a “childish idiot” and a closet homosexual.

Tony Adams, a writer and commentator within the homosexualist community, is listed as a founding board member of “Catholics for Equality” on its website.

Adams, who changed his last name after “marrying” his male partner, regularly writes for South Florida Gay News, maintains his own blog and is affiliated with the popular homosexualist/atheist Joe My God blog.

In an August 23 comment on a post celebrating Catholics for Equality, which will officially launch September 14, Adams wrote that he hoped the group would become a “strong ‘Catholic’ voice to counter the nonsense spoken by well recognized Catholic homophobes.”

“Also, this group will be able to show Catholics that they can and should disagree with their wayward and addled bishops without going straight to hell,” wrote the ex-priest.

He noted that he “personally [doesn’t] need” the Church, and avoided prayer sessions and liturgies during the Catholics for Equality planning sessions. “I’m no longer a Catholic leader, but I am a loud voice of Catholic righteous anger and I think I can be helpful,” he added

At least he is no longer a priest. The irony is it sounds like he’s the one throwing a ‘childish’ tantrum.

Although I am not familiar with the details, according to Fr. Tony, he is still a priest. He simply is not allowed to publicly offer the sacraments. I guess this means he is suspended, rather than laicized.

As for Pope Benedict being a closeted homosexual, this claim has been made for years. Obviously, the persons making such a claim have a vested interest in it being true. However, I am not aware of any evidence which supports such a claim.
 
I’m sure there really is a Lavender Mafia in the Catholic Church. I recently talked to someone who was in the seminary and he told me what a problem homosexuality is.

That’s really sad if true. What a bunch of hypocrites they would be to take the oath of chasity and purity. What do you mean by Lavender Mafia? Is this derogatory to Italians too?
 
This “priest” has no evidence except his own sinful bitterness.The best way to character assassinate someone is with “the big lie”.The burden of proof is on the accuser.How many times has Christ been called a homosexual in books,plays and by homosexialists.The first comment on my thread is absolutely correct.I didn’t post this so that Catholics could speculate on the sexuality of the representative of Christ on earth.He has issued directives forbidding the recruitment of homosexuals into the seminary,and now hopeful applcants must undergo a battery of tests to at least estimate ones sexuality.Too bad for those who suffer from this abberation but intend to remain chaste.

Next up—Act Up barricading the entrance to St. Patrick’s Cathedral. 🤷

Apparently this man been not been excommunicated? He needs to be.

Ad Hominem? 99% of the time, it’s used by people who are angry because they have no argument.

He’s not making his organization nor his case look good to anyone.
 
Two comments:

A priest is a priest forever. As has been pointed out in other threads, just like we can’t erase a Baptism, we can’t erase an Ordination either. Like all Sacraments, we do the outward signs but it’s God that puts that indelible mark of a priest on Father’s soul, not the Bishop. So it doesn’t matter if he’s in good standing, bad standing; has faculties or doesn’t; is released from vows or not; is laicized or not. He is a priest forever.

Second, consider the circumstances in which these comments were made. New organization starting up, and they want the word spread as wide as possible. What better way to accomplish that than to insult and make ridiculous allegations against a person knows the world over? It’s cheap (free) advertising is all it is, but he doesn’t care so long as it gets people talking about his new organization so that many will go there to check it out. That’s the real goal.
 
Stuff like this doesn’t get me upset at the people making the accusations. It saddens me because they are only hurting themselves, and insulting Jesus. When you say these kind of things it only separates you from God and that only hurts you. You can rebel and throw tantrums and say horrible things about people, but it doesn’t convince anyone and it only makes you look small. And it certainly doesn’t help his cause. God help him, he’s going to have a lot of explaining to do on judgment day if he doesn’t change his tune and repent.

The pope’s being a closeted gay has the same odds as Barak Obama being a closeted Republican.

Get hold of a copy of Michael Roses book: "Goodbye, Good Men", or the Tim Staples audio version. How about a seminary thats nicknamed “The Pink Palace” (or “The Purple Palace”: i`ve forgotten which).

Some seminaries are known as “Feminaries”! You have to at least act effeminately to have any chance of getting in.

The term: “The Lavender Mafia” was coined by a (American) priest whose name i`ve forgotten, and has been in use for a fair few years.

The members of this network do two things:
  1. They support each other.
    2, They blackmail each other: ie if one of them happens to be appointed to a position of influence… it`s payback time. Help your mates, or suffer exposure.
It`s foul!
Even more foul is their attempt to drag others down with them.

When we`re not in the state of Grace, our intellects are darkened…

He may not be a closeted Republican, but some say he might be a closeted MUSLIM.

Not saying he is—but wouldn’t surprise me if he IS.

This IS the guy who said the call to prayer in Islam was the most beautiful sound in the world.
And he has acted as a lukewarm Christian AT BEST.
He did not even allow the display of religious symbols when he spoke at Notre Dame.

At best, he is an “in-name only” Christian.
