Why?

Didn’t Moses get buried personally by God after saving thousands? Didn’t Elijah get brought to heaven after being a prophet for God? Didn’t Enoch rise up to heaven after walking with God? So why is the Pope after leading MILLIONS to God subjected to judgement just like you???

Do you NOT know that the just shall live by faith? And that we have passed from judgement and will no longer be judged?

.
and if it wasnt for the Church, how would know today what Jesus said and did then?

Perhaps now, people will understand why the Bible is not supposed to be in the hands of laity people. see what they can do to the Word of God?

how can anyone ignorantly assume that they can just pick up the Bible 2000 years later and think that can know what Jesus meant by those statement?

who named you the teacher of SS?
“who named you the teacher of SS?” - wisdomseeker

The answer is easy. Mosacked did

sure. and i am waiting for his answer to my question: if it wanst for the Church…
Interesting! Mosacked is having a lot trouble explaining himself on some very simple questions. Yet, he regards himself as a teacher of Scriptures.

John 3:18 " He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

.
you are funny. very funny guy. you keep quoting Scriptures out of the blue.

who is talking about judgement here? you are use Scriptures that does not pertaining to what we are talking about.

we are not asking you to quote Scriptures but if you do, please quote the right ones.

if you quote Scriptures, dont use Scriptures to imply to Catholics that we dont believe in God the Father, the Son and HS and all that they do and say. the Creed.

quit the nonsense.

is it your belief that you are going to be buried by God Himself?

lurker,
What Elizabeth said was what she said. In her own words, Mary is the mother of the lord, it is like what Ralphinal clearly acknowledged that it is MERELY a title. God CANNOT have a mother. (I AM THE ALPHA & THE OMEGA, THE BEGINNING AND THE END). To insist against that declaration is BLASPHEMY. .
You are the blasphemer!
When Elizabeth calls Mary “the mother of my Lord”, she calls Mary “Theotokos!” Remember who “the Lord” is?

And what about the Apostle Thomas, who exclaims “Ὁ κύριός μου καὶ ὁ θεός μου” = “My Lord and my God”?

And I could keep at this all day, taking you through the Gospels and the rest of the NT, pointing out where Jesus is glorified as God. The fact that Jesus is God is indisputable!

(it is ALSO indisputable that Jesus is God the Son, not God the Father, cf. Athanasium)

Answer now: Is Jesus God?
If your answer is “no” then you have anathematized yourself, and placed yourself outside of not only the RC church, but outside of Christendom itself.
If your answer is “yes”, then you must also admit that since Mary is the mother of Jesus, then she is also the mother of God! To deny that Mary is Theotokos is to deny the divinity of Christ

No one has seen the face of God, so how did you see the face of God,answer YOU DID NOT SEE THE FACE OF GOD,LIVE with it

You quoted without understanding. And you wish to be taught by men. Be my guest.

I’m going BACK to the Bible. And no thanks, I don’t need to be taught by humans, the majority of whom (according to Jesus) are going to Hell.

Ana, Has Mosaccked not been banned yet…Are all the Mod. sleeping

It is very interesting, WS, that Mosacked the Infallible, Doctor of Divinity, teacher of all and believer of none, has cornered himself in a very bad spot.

On the one hand he tells us that he does not believe in any human teachers of Scripture.

And then on the other hand he tells us that he believes only in the things he taught himself.

Can we, then, deduce that Dr. Mosacked is not human? :rotfl:

i wonder if he prays the Our Father. if he does it, is he thinking that Jesus is talking about me and my Bible?

Ralphinal,

I am getting somewhere with you, but nowhere with the others.

If you observe carefully, you will notice that there are certain things kept secret from even Jesus. Jesus once said…nobody knows, only the Father, and Jesus said Just as my Father sent me, I send you. Notice that unless the Father sents, nobody can come to Jesus.

This is the differentiating factor between what you believe and what I believe.

JESUS WAS THE SON OF GOD, THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON.. He was NOT the Father. The Bible says this very clearly…He was the SON.

I have already shown you that the Bible itself declared that Jesus was a conception of the Holy Ghost. NOwhere did it attribute it to Mary, and Mary herself declared herself a maid/servant of God.

It is ONLY the CATHOLICS themselves who insist on deitifying her.
Mosacked,

I don’t think you really “hear” what anyone is saying to you.

Name one Catholic who insists on deifying Mary? I know of none.

Indeed, Jesus was conceived through the Holy Spirit. He was fully God. He was also fully man. Mary was the Mother of Jesus. Jesus, though God, came in the flesh. Are you denying that Jesus came in the flesh?

Jesus, the Word, became flesh.
John 1: 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 ( John bore witness about him, and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.’”) 16 And from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known.
Jesus was descended from David “according to the flesh.”
Romans 1 (ESV):
1 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, 2 which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy Scriptures,
3 concerning his Son, who was descended from David according to the flesh 4 and was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord, 5 through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations, 6including you who are called to belong to Jesus Christ,
The O.T. contains many prophecies regarding the coming of Christ–notice He would come as a descendant of David, “according to the flesh,” a son of David’s body.
2 Samuel 7: 12 When your days are fulfilled and you lie down with your fathers,** I will raise up your offspring after you, who shall come from your body**, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.
Psalm 132: ** 11 The LORD swore to David a sure oath from which he will not turn back: “One of the sons of your body I will set on your throne. . .”**
Jesus was “born of a woman, born under the law.” That woman was Mary.
Galatians 4: 4 But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law,
To deny that Mary is the Mother of Jesus, is to deny that Jesus came in the flesh, as a descendant of David.

Your denial has serious ramifications, extending to the crucifixion of Christ and His atonement of our sins through the sacrifice of His body and blood.

Anna

And that is the one thing that I hope the Catholics on this thread get.

I have been to a number of different churches and I do not know of one that would be supportive of Mr. M. here.

So please do not take Mr M. as representative of all Protestants or even one strain of them. He is not.

Oh btw…I thought last night of the possibility of Friends, but having known a few Friends on this forum, nope. Friends have a much more gentle and not totally whacked out approach.

So you all can continue this if you want, but I suspect you will be…
:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
From my knowledge of Protestantism and The Friends, all have agreed that teaching is essential, for how else can one learn. All acknowledge that the Bible is “the Daughter of the Catholic Church”, although they may not agree with the Catholic Canon. Also, I wouldn’t use the term “whacked out” for The Friends. They are Christians, but a bit different. There are no sermons at their “meetings”, but each member may get up and speak of religious matters when they feel that they are inspired. And rest assured, I have too much repect for Protestants to ever consider mosacked as one. Sorry to say that he is too far out of the ball park to be one.

PAX DOMINI :signofcross:

Shalom Aleichem
