=Javl;6022056]No, DK. I’m surprised that mosacked hasn’t been tossed. He is quite dense. I wonder if he has concrete in that place between his ears? Paraphrasing Bugs Bunny “what a Moroon!”.
I also apologize for your being attacked by Catholics in this forum. It is truly un-Christian ( mosacked and his ilk are exceptions ). But consider that we are also attacked the same way when we participate in Protestant forums, but that really is no excuse. God Bless.

If you’re going to post comments such as this, PLEASE remove “Catholic” from you’re identification 😊 🤷 WWJD!

I find this personally offensive and completely without need! And yes I HAVE read the post:o

If one can’t be articulate w/o charity, one should NOT be posting here.

2Tim.3: [16] “All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,”
Oh, the arrogance…
I think I know the Bible better than you do, friend. And I can read it in the original languages.
***So friend, here is "YOUNG’s Litteral Translation.

***3:16 “every Writing is' God-breathed, and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for setting aright, for instruction that is’ in righteousness,3:17 that the man of God may be fitted – for every good work having been completed.” ****

***So now we are not taking just a “Catholic view.”

It is a good that you are able to READ in the Orginal languages. But dear friend, reading and UNDERSTANDING what is actually being said are as seperate and [very often] far apart as “the east is from the West.”😊

Perhaps you can get past my “arrogance” and enlighten us to precisely where we are in error in our understanding of this verse FOUND IN ALL BIBLES?

Is the Bible Not the Word of God?

Is the Bible NOT TRUE?

Or is the Bible only true where you say its true?***

Might I ask what your problem is? Do you treat all Protestants as ignorant pagans? If you find my post offensive, then don’t read it. Also, you don’t have to yell, My eyesight is still excellent.

OPPS! Way of the truth of the matter in this statement.

***I assume from you’re post that you are speaking here of the Christ born of Mary BEFORE HIS Passion, Death and Ressurection? Before He Rose from the dead GLORIFIED?

Sin and flesh have but a single connection. That is that sin is OFTEN, but not always through the “flesh” as in sins relating to God’s Moral Justice. Fornication, adultry, materbation, abortion ect.

Sin effects the SOUL***, not usually the body [yes aids and other STD’s do :o] BUT the Bible is speaking of “flesh” as “HUMANITY” NOT as physical flesh. Sin’s effects are normally ONLY on one’s Soul [even though in a real sense all sins are in a manner… public in there consequences.]

The HUMAN NATURE of Jesus was identical to mankind in everyway BUT SIN. God cannot sin, nor could the GOD-man, SIN:thumbsup:

Love and prayers,

Not necessarily. There may be Protestants who can be more Catholic than you are. They may have some objection to Catholicism, such as the infallibility of the Pope, that may keep them out ( remember the Orthodox? ). It is up to us to find out and explain, and try to smooth out the objection(s).

As for the yelling, it is un-necessary. We can all read, with or without glasses. Yelling never solved anything. Also, it was nice of you to answer for him. God Bless.

No, nor do I “pick on ONLY Protestants.” This is a Religious forum, therefore CHARITY is necessary, and God-like:thumbsup: Try it friend, you might even like it 🤷

I always use charity, friend. But in that one case charity does not help and is of no avail. I have made better headway with JWs, etc.

Javl,

You do, indeed, use Christian charity. You have been very kind to me. I am one of those “ignorant” Protestants," so I appreciate your kindness.

I don’t know what is up with the insults aimed at Protestants. I take these forums very seriously. I read and consider the posts. I am interested in what Catholics have to say, whether I agree or disagree.

Sorry, I have been snowed in and couldn’t post.

Mosacked,
You never actually answered all of my questions, so I can’t answer your response. However, your response to me and to others shows me that you either don’t know what we are talking about or refuse to admit what we are talking about.

I will pray for you.

humblelurker,

If you are waiting for him to answer your questions, it’s going to be a long wait. I’ve tried, and tried, and tried. He doesn’t answer. 🤷

Humblelurker, I was not able to answer your question because some people here think I might have been overly convincing with my answers and in order to stop me in my tracks they had my account suspended for many days.

Anyway, I don’t recall not answering your question, please re-post them and try to be brief.

As for my stand. I only have this to say which has never been challenged.

1 - Mary herself called herself a slave of God in the book of Luke. But catholics elevate her to the status of ‘Mother of God’. As I have already pointed out, Mary was the earthly mother of Jesus who is God, but that does not make her the mother of God. God IS A SPIRIT. That divine and holy spirit came from heaven, NOT from Mary. Mary was merely a humble vessel. To call Mary as the Mother of God is BLASPHEMY.

2 - Jesus already said ‘No man goes to the Father EXCEPT through me’ and He also said the COUNSELOR will teach us Himself unto all things. But catholics insist on listening to human teachers who do not even possess the Holy Ghost to lead them.

Alas, few shall enter the kingdom of heaven. For though many are called, many remains blind for their filthy sins. Unless ye be like little children, ye shall never see the kingdom of heaven.

Be ye born of the Water and the Spirit.

John 5: 37 The Father who sent Me has Himself testified about Me. You have not heard His voice at any time, and you haven’t seen His form. 38 You don’t have His word living in you, because you don’t believe the One He sent. 39 You pore over the Scriptures because you think you have eternal life in them, yet they testify about Me. 40 And you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life. 41 "I do not accept glory from men, 42 but I know you—that you have no love for God within you. 43 I have come in My Father’s name, yet you don’t accept Me. If someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him. 44 How can you believe? While accepting glory from one another, you don’t seek the glory that comes from the only God.

Mosacked,
IN case you missed it. please correct or add to it as you see fit
Mosacked,
I think I am starting to see what you are saying.

Is this correct, in you mind.

Jesus is God.

Jesus is man.

All human flesh is sinful.

Jesus had no sin.

Jesus’s flesh could not have been normal human flesh

Since Jesus could not have normal human flesh, which is sinful, his flesh must have been specially created by God at the time of the Incarnation.

Am I hitting it as you see it?

=============================

The body of flesh that Jesus had was not a result of a woman+man union. It was made through the power of the Spirit. If it was not it would have possessed original sin, and a sinful body cannot house/host the Holy Spirit of God. Also that body would not be suitable for use as a perfect sacrifice. The body of Jesus is wholly human, but that does not imply that Mary conceived Jesus, instead the Bible declares that the conception of Jesus was the work of the Holy Spirit. So, yes, it is normal human flesh, but it is not with sin. Because flesh from a woman+man union inherits original sin. Remember, all man has sin. And THAT INCLUDES MARY.

The bible says NONE IS RIGHTEOUS.

If Jesus was merely a replica of Mary’s flesh or a resultant of her flesh (which is sinful), then there would have been no use for the Holy Ghost. If she had been sinless, then it might as well been Mary who is to be crucified on the cross as the perfect sacrifice.

For Mary to be the chosen of God to bear His Son in human form, Mary was born sinless. What you are saying and trying to “teach” us is heresy. I don’t know where you get these ideas from, but you had better earnestly pray to the Holy Spirit for guidance and wisdom and understanding, for you are surely headed for the deep pit. Have mercy on him Lord, for he knows not what he says.

Alright.

So, you deny that Jesus was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit but instead say that he was created within Mary by the Power of the Holy Spirit. Is that right?

And, if NONE are righteous, please explain this list…

Joseph in Matthew 1:19,
Simeon in Luke 2:25
Abel in Hebrews 11:4.
Noah in Genesis 6:9,
Cornelius in Acts 10:22,
Lot in 2 Peter 2:7
David in First Kings 3:6.
Rahab in James 2:25.

Noah, Daniel, and Job, in Ezekiel 14:12 “even if these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, they could save only themselves by their righteousness,” declares the Sovereign Lord.

Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness (Verse 3, Chapter 4 of the book of Romans.). It says, “The statement it was credited to him was not written only for Abraham’s sake, but also for our sake, to which it will be credited, those who believe in the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead” in 4:23-24.

So, either Paul is contradicting the rest of the Bible, including himself, OR what you are saying is not what he is saying. Notice that in some of the verses, it is God himself who calls them Righteous

First of all Catholics never elevated Mary, God did. Blessed are you among women. Secondly you either accept Jesus as God or you don’t. Mary is either the Mother of God or she is not. You cannot say she is the Mother of Christ and not the Mother of God.

Next I am sorry you again deny scripture. DId he or did he not say he would send the advocate the HS to lead the Apostles. Well? So either they are led by the HS like Jesus said or again you choose to deny scripture.

The CC is led throught he HS the way Jesus promised. You simply deny what scripture says. Could you now show me scripture to dispute what I have said?

Here is something that I cannot understatnd. How anyone could not accept that the Blessed Mother was saved from sin. Here is the simple reason how we know she was.

We are all brought into this world with original sin, we get from our parents. Thats a fact, thats why we must be Baptised.

All babys come into this world with sin, no matter how inocent. Now if the Blessed Mother was not saved from Original Sin Jesus would have came into this world with Original sin also. So either Jesus did come in with Original sin, or Mary was saved from it. ITs common sense really.

How can anyone possibly believe that God could not, and would not choose a sinless person to bring in his Son to this world. I mean come on. Wake up!

Why do you think that the Angel said Blessed are you among women, and Blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Easy they were sinless thats why.

Mary was also born of human parents, so she was born with original sin, But here is the big but God saved her from it at the moment of conception. God handpicked her from the second she was conceived.

What many People do not know is Marys Mother Anna was a very faithful women. She could not have children, She promised God if she could have a child she would offer it up to God. Mary was taken to the temple from the moment of birth, and spend hours upon hours there as a Child. She was not like a normal child. She knew she was here for one reason to do Gods work. She was created for that purpose and that purpose only.

Alas, few shall enter the kingdom of heaven. For though many are called, many remains blind for their filthy sins. Unless ye be like little children, ye shall never see the kingdom of heaven.
And with the way ye reject the Lord’s Church and His Blessed Mother, ye had better hope ye are invincibly ignorant–of course, with the some of the stuff that spews forth from your mouth, ye may just be at that.

And the better comparison than that foul monkey one is to look at normal human reproduction. Normally, a new embryo gets half its gametes from the mother and the other half from the father. Still, it would be viewed as ridiculous to say the mother and father are each only parents of half of the child since the child is a single entity.

Same thing with Jesus. There is one Jesus who is God-man, not Jesus the man and Jesus the God. Since his natures are inseparable, Mary MUST be the Mother of Jesus the God-Man. She is Mother of His Inseparable Natures.
