Interesting. Around 1980 I spent 3 or 4 weeks in Sweden, primarily near Stockholm. I did not find it particularly difficult to find a Catholic Church to attend during that stay, although it was a little strange walking up to a second floor stairway to get to the room that was the church.

It was more challenging finding a Catholic Church in Japan, but, I guess, that would be expected.

Thanks for the link.

Blessings,
Stephie

Pope Francis will be visiting Sweden this coming October. He will only be there for a couple days, but it should still be a treat.

Diocese of Stockholm said:
Will the public be able to meet Pope Francis?

Yes the public will be able to see Pope Francis. On Monday October 31st the pope will first take part in an Ecumenical Commemoration in the Cathedral of Lund with specially invited guests. This will be broadcasted on Swedish public television.

After the Ecumenical Commeration Pope Francis will come to Malmö Arena. Malmö Arena will be the stage for activities with choirs, films, stories and witness that will convey the message of hope, fellowship and responsibility for the world. The arena can host up to 10 000 people.

During Tuesday morning November 1st the Pope will celebrate the Holy Mass in Malmö with Nordic Catholics. The exact venue for the mass has not yet been communicated.
