Simple logic tells that not all Catholics go to hell, although in the present time it would seem that more are heading to hell than heaven.
Mine does. And the deacons do as well, when they preach.it’s the priests fault… and/or the bishops’…
Why aren’t they advising people to go to confession… and telling them that if they are in serious sin they cannot accept Communion?

have you read the Bible? you’ll find hell mentioned there several times. but in Matt 26:24, Jesus said this of Judas Iscariot; “…woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed. It would be better for that man if he had not been born.” what do you think Jesus is saying here? if there is no hell as you’re claiming, is Jesus making sense of what he is saying? what worse fate could a man have if he tells you it’s better for you if you were not born? would hell qualify? Jesus loves you. don’t take lightly his words for your soul’s sake.there is no hell … so no one goes there. That’s the good news. The bad news is our only hope for eternal life is either a time machine or medical science.
i would not go that far. only God knows each and everyone’s heart. even the CCC does not explicitly say it.
No non-Catholics can get to Heaven. It is a thrice defined dogma that there is absolutely no salvation outside of the Church. Indeed, Jesus is the sole way to salvation (John xiv, 6), and the Church is His Body (Ephesians v, 23); as He Himself said: “If any one abide not in me, he shall be cast forth as a branch, and shall wither, and they shall gather him up, and cast him into the fire, and he burneth.” (John xv, 6)as far as “other way around”… very true but many non-Catholics will get to Heaven as many Catholics miss the boat… (about 54%?)
anyway, even if a Protestant gets to Heaven… s/he will, according to some reliable source i can’t now recall… get more time in Purgatory than the Catholic… because most Protestants don’t think they have to do any purging… they think Jesus did everythihg on the Cross… Well, there was one thing Jesus did not do on the cross: He didn’t make our decisions for us… He didn’t take anyone’s free will away… He didn’t change the nature of sin and the awful consequences it causes to a soul…
Who would leave the Catholic Church knowing that She is the True Church? That is bordering on the self-contradictory! To know that the Catholic Church is the True Church, is to believe that She is the True Church, since knowledge of the truth resides in the adequation of the thing known with the intellect. But one would obviously not intently leave the Catholic Church while believing Her to be the True Church!

I have been a Cathloic all My life and I have never heard any Priest say some one is going to hell,The Church does not send people to hell and not one denomination will send you to hell, We send Our selfs to hell not cathloics are not other denomintions… just people send them self to hell,Just my two cents or like some others say its just my opinion.

Me too, that is I have been Catholic all my life. As to ever hearing a priest say someone is going to Hell, not on my watch he hasn’t.
But it may be possible that one or two may have, I am recalling a priest (Finney I think) from Harvard (who was extreme in his views) stated all Protestants would go to Hell, he was excommunicated for this, but eventually reentered the Church, a repentant (having divested himself of his former views).Fr Leonard Feeney simply upheld an exclusivist understanding of the Catholic dogma that there is no salvation outside of the Church. He was excommunicated not on that account, but for having failed to show up in Rome when convoked. He was reconciled without having to recant his views (choosing to recite the Athanasian Creed), and his followers, the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Still River, Massachusets, continue to teach the exclusivist interpretation of the dogma, and are in full communion with Rome.

this is the sad result (in my humble opinion) of religious zealotry (and I say this with the utmost respect). Why would anyone charge another with being some sort of heretic for an intangible, unprovable, myth? Why would anyone hate another person because of a religion?
Humble in doubt, you have some very weird notions, when Catholics state there’s is the true church of Christ, they mean that Jesus started their Church (it is a reality of history), this is in no way meant to be taken as an insult to our protestant brothers/sisters, nor do we mean to imply that they are not saved or that they cannot lead grace-filled lives outside of the Church. I could see if we were all illiterate members of some third world tribe with no access to information; but we’re modern westerners? I’m sorry if my views are offensive … but I have a hard time wrapping my mind around the reasoning for this hatred (when it’s certainly not what Christ preached).
The Catholics will always say they are the only true church of Christ, which of course is a great insult to Protestants, who will counter than Catholics are quasi-pagan because they venerate Mary and Saints, use icons in worship, so on and so forth. Yet it seems to me this is acting contrary to Christ.
If you know its offensive to tell another person your church (which believes essentially the same thing as your opponents church) is better than their church, then why would you say it? Of course Catholics will say it’s their duty to tell the truth (and protestants will say the same sort of thing).
If Catholics were to say any person who has faith in Christ is chosen by your god (which is what your bible states); and protestants state the same thing … then it would seem that you’re all in the same body (the body of Christ). Yet this will never be good enough for you … what fun would it be if you had nothing to argue over right???
I mean … man I can’t really say what I think of this whole thing because I doubt I could phrase it in a respectful way. Suffice it to say it seems very childish to me & a big waste of time. I can behave myself without mythology (though it might be fun to read)???
This is why politicians should be atheists … you guys need people who are guided by reason and logic to moderate this sort of behavior
