Catholics, if you found yourself on an all-Protestant planet, what would your church choice be?

Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod or as close as I could come to the Original Lutheran Church that Martin Luther founded.

I don’t know about myself but I know a lotta guys who’d pick Mormon for… obvious reasons.
Question for the OP: Is this “All-Protestant Planet” one of those planets that a Mormon would inherit upon dying?

Secretary…sorry…guess I was on a more serious tone here…

If you are the only Catholic on the planet…the Church is still there so you don’t have to join another denomination…the only communion you would have would be the communion of saints…but God would provide us more…

As the Gospel says…He is with us…when 2 or more are gathered…and we need brethren in communion to go forward in our walk in the Lord…

“Catholics, what if you found yourself purple monkey dishwasher?”

🤷

Ridiculous hypotheticals like these usually have some ulterior motive, and I don’t engage in them. What a waste of time.

Yet you just did.

I will gladly return your two cents.

Toooo much combative anti-protestant tone in the threads here, lately.

So in an attempt to lighten the mood and change the tone, can I ask you a question, just for fun?

If you HAD to belong to a Protestant denomination, which one would you choose?

This is a HYPOTHETICAL scenario just for FUN. Please no “I woudn’t choose any, because…(insert anti-protestant rhetoric here)…” . Please no arguments about “Why would you choose such-and-such when they are so (insert anti suchandsuch rhetoric here)”. Please? I know we can do this without bickering 🙂 Yes, we can. Can so. Can so…

Ok let me start. I would choose the WELS Lutheran church.

How about you?
High Church Lutheran. I would go Anglican because I love their church buildings but ultimately I think I prefer old Lutheran theology.

I’m split between High Church Anglican (Anglo-Catholic) or traditional Lutherans. I find I tend to agree with them more times then I disagree so they are the honest choice :).

Anglican. 😃
I would probably pick Anglican as there understanding of sacraments are similar to Catholics.

However I have a respect for Methodists. They are into singing, and apparently anyone who professes faith in Jesus can receive communion without having to sign up. They also promote good works to great extent, and do a lot in this regard.

I would just wait until I woke up (for such could not happen in reality)

That’s how I feel too. My son is a Methodist and they have an awesome music program. Plus they really do a lot of good works. But Catholicism is the best for me. I love its history, beauty and of course, Mass.

Lutheran (had a Lutheran grandfather) or who ever had the best Hymn Sings. 🍿:harp::whistle::whistle:

I COULD be wrong but I’m pretty sure Anglican’s have the best music. After all, why else would their churches be built for sound? 😃

The Anglican church in our town has an awesome pipe organ and the ceiling… ugh, the ceiling. It is the perfect place for concerts.

Anyway. Lutheran for me though. 🙂

:bigyikes:Just had an horrorable idea: What if all of the Catholics were raptured? :sad_yes::bounce::bowdown:

I have a better question…" If there were not 30,000 plus non Catholic gatherings…which Catholic parish would you want to attend?"🙂
