Let me break it down for you:

2nd Adam said we have different leaders. He then said that his leaders get their authority from the king of kings which means, since we have “different leaders” our leaders do not get their authority from the king of kings. You anwsered this with an amen

You are right, maybe I don’t understand. So help me out. Did you not read what 2nd Adam wrote and just said amen just to say it and didn’t realize what you were agreeing with or did you really mean to say amen to the statement that Catholic leaders don’t get their authority from God? Which is it?

God bless
Ultimately, we have the same leader in our Triune God.

So, our ultimate leader is the same, for there is only One True God.
Thank you for the clarification, but this is not what you originally said:
2nd Adam:
That’s a tough one because we have different leaders. My leaders get their authority from the King of Kings
I am more concerned with tweetymom saying amen to your first statement, which is quite different than your statement you used to clarify. She said amen to your first statement, not your second.

God bless

Maybe for him it is who’s to say?
I think you’re getting bogged down in being nice, and trying to spread the warm and fuzzies and sometimes that’s the way to go, but if someone has wrong information don’t you think it would be best to share the right info with them? If your child was taught in school that the sky is green with yellow stripes and blue polka dots wouldn’t you steer them in the right direction? That’s what we’re trying to do, and what you’re throwing out there is relativism. The it’s ok, as long as you believe something you’ll be fine attitude, and that’s not right.

Ultimately, we have the same leader in our Triune God.
Again, this isn’t what you said.
2nd Adam:
That’s a tough one because** we have different leaders**. My leaders get their authority from the King of Kings
I thank you for your clarification but, like I said above, it concerns me more to see a Catholic say amen to a statement about our leaders not being of God than a non-Catholic saying it in the first place. One I would suspect, the other I wouldn’t.

God bless you

This is a biblical exhortation for Catholics who seem to be devouring other Catholic Christians…

For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another. - Gal 5:15

I don’t mind if you pick on me since I am a seperated sibling. But, I think you should back off some with Tweetymom. 1 Cor 13 trumps apologetics any day of the week.

Well, if you look at my two Catholic links… maybe we agree more than you think. We are justified by faith according to Pope Benedict and the Catholic college professor.
Here’s the deal, you really need to stop telling people to use your link, b/c they don’t say what you think they say. I know you want them to agree with your position, but it’s been told to you time and time again that it’s WRONG. Why can’t you accept that you might not know more about our leaders and what they teach than we do?

Well… you know how Internet conversions go. They are extremely limited ways to communicate.

And our same leader doesn’t teach thousands of different things to different people.
If you think if Catholics are not as confused as Protestants… please tell me the official Catholic position in regards to Muslims and Jews.

Cr8ton;5883436:
Once again I agree with you and I expect to get bashed but I keep reading Romans 8:28
28 And we know that to them that love God, all things work together unto good, to such as, according to his purpose, are called to be saints. 29 For whom he foreknew, he also predestinated to be made conformable to the image of his Son; that he might be the firstborn amongst many brethren. 30 And whom he predestinated, them he also called. And whom he called, them he also justified. And whom he justified, them he also glorified.
What this doesn’t say, is that “all manner of “chrstian belief” is just right”, which is what you’re implying in your “christian unity” views. It’s not all just right, Paul isn’t saying there isn’t a single objective truth. Romans is nothing more than Paul settling the debate between the Gentiles and Jewdizers who thought you must first be circomsised then follow all jewish law before you could become Christian. I beleive it’s in this very letter Paul (in less obvious language) says “I wish they [the jewdizers] would slip and castrate them selves”.

This letter is chastising the Jewdizers and telling them that much like Abraham, all the Gentiles need bring to become Christian is their
  1. Faith
  2. Obediance

Since Scripture is the Word of God, there is so much in there that we can discuss. You state that we differ on what Scirpture says. I will turn that around and say that there is so much that agree in what Scripture reveals. Do you want to debate the Trinity, or the dual nature of Christ, or His incarnation, His ressurection, etc… So, where do we go from here? There is actually more we agree upon than what we disagree upon.
Many Christians disagree on what is necessary for salvation. Why would God leave such a crucial question up for individual discernment?

Help me understand where you are coming from. Why can’t I receive Pope Benedict’s teaching on justification by faith alone with the if qualifier as a Protestant Christian. Please explain how we see things differently? There are many Evangelicals who embrace this particular teaching of Pope Benedict, and rejoice over it! I love James chapter 2 and reject easy believism. Martin Luther rejected mental ascent conversions too.

You have to help me because I am not Catholic. When the Philipian jailer asked Paul what must we do to be saved… your Catholic answer is…?

you took it out of context though and didn’t explain what you think it means in accordance with other scripture. If you just want my take on it then I would atleast like a reference as to where you got that scripture. Are you referring to Gen 2:8?
Forgive me Cr. Here it is 2:15

THe Lord God then took the man and settled him in the garden of Eden to cultivate and care for it. There is it Cr. What does it mean?

Faith and obedience.
Did you even look at Paul’s answer to the jailer as recorded in Scripture? I am not disagreeing that faith and obedience are necessary. I will tell you that perfect sinless obedience is necessary to be saved. 😉

Mainly becuase B XVI never taught justification by faith alone. he could not do this as that is supported neither by scripture or tradition.

So, 2nd Adam . . . when are you going to run for office? 😃

Tweetymom was quite clear in her respond. All capitalized and followed with a thumbs up:

tweetymom:
Of course what she was saying amen to was a statement that Catholic leaders are not of God.

God bless
