I believe the OP link author about Catholics need to read their Bible, and the Catholic college professor link, and the leader of ECT from the Catholic side were all once Protestants who are Catholic. Heck, Scott Hahn, and other Catholic Answers apologists are ex-Protestants.
Relativism is the denial of an absolute truth by accepting the possibility that different truths can exist for different people dependant on what they believe. These former Protestants did not believe in relativism, hence their decision to leave Protestantism and join the Catholic Church. Scott Hahn is not still a Protestant, he is not still of the same belief that you are, he has denied that belief.

Maybe you have and thats a good thing. I have spent 8 years teaching Bible study and I don’t know it all and if you do then:thumbsup:
I dont know it all and in fact it is not necessary to know it all. As a Catholic I read scripture to gain a deeper understanding of the Truth-not to find the Truth.

Great I study because I love Gods word.👍

Please invite them over here so we can grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ together as brothers and sisters in Christ.

You don’t think they’re doing that over there? Why don’t you go on over there and have a look? The Non Catholic forum is not any less an apologetic forum than Apologetics.
Some people stuck on apologetics don’t like unity, maybe because of the remaining flesh in all of us.
And I’d rather have conversations about the one, absolute Truth revealed by God. I guess you don’t believe in that.

There is no unity 2nd Adam. There cannot be unity as long as there are denominations outside of God’s Church.
Sister,

It is by the work of the Spirit, that there is true spiritual unity. We are ingrafted into Christ by the Spirit, regardless of our flavor of Christianity. I believe the Catholic Catechsim acknowledges that unity done by the Spirit of other Christians that are not part of the Catholic Church.

So the one as an infant didn’t count?

Then why are they separate churches?
Because all visible churches know in part. Protestants don’t believe in baptismal regeneration; therefore, both infant baptism and the one done as a professor in Christ only point to the rebirth done by the Spirit of God. Water baptism to most Protestant is an outward sign of the inward reality done by the Spirit.

It does not acknowedge any such unity. It acknowledges that they accept portions of the whole truth. Hence, disunity.

If you were honest, there is much disunity in the Catholic Church. Can you honestly say that all Catholics who partake in the Eucharist agree that the elements change to the literal flesh and blood of Jesus Christ? I’ve followed the thread as Mary as the co-redemtrix with the conflicting views between Catholics.

Protestants don’t believe in baptismal regeneration;
Really? I think you need to study up on some other Protestant denominations.
therefore, both infant baptism and the one done as a professor in Christ only point to the rebirth done by the Spirit of God.
And this is a pretty big, core, necessary, whatever you have it, belief on which we completely disagree with you. And that unity is where?

Show me. Don’t show me Catholics who claim to be Catholics who disagree with the Church. Show me an example of disunity within the dogmatic beliefs of the true Catholic Church.

Yes, all Catholics who are in agreement with the unbending and unchanging dogma of the Church believe this. Any Catholics who do not (and face it, if they don’t, they probably aren’t Catholic) are not really Catholic and are not in representation of the Church.
I’ve followed the thread as Mary as the co-redemtrix with the conflicting views between Catholics.
Mary as co-redemptrix is not a dogmatically defined and required belief. They have permission from the Church to accept it or not. There is not grounds for disunity on this issue b/c there is no dogmatic proclomation of it.

There are orthodox Catholics who adhere to the official teaching of the Catholic Church. And there are baptized Catholics and members of the Catholic Church who do not agree with the official teachings of the Catholic Church. Until they are ex-communicated, they are still part of the Catholic Church. Therefore, there is disunity in the official teaching and disunity in the non official teachings.

Do you know how many times people posted that I misrepresented Pope Benedict’s teaching on justification by faith alone? That’s such a ridiculous claim since I posted a link to his entire work. It is my goal that everyone would read the entire two links in complete context on my signature. Many Catholics miss the point that we are justified by faith which is quite understandable. Official Catholic theology is very good stuff! Does it bother you that Pope Benedict mentioned the words “faith alone” in a positive light? If so, read both of my links in complete context.
**Ahh, but you ARE misrepresenting his comments because you only place the snippet that you want to show. You know exactly what you’re doing but you pretend to play ignorant and hide behind a false sense of charity.

**
**Why don’t you place this snippet from his proclamation?: “So it is that in the Letter to the Galatians in which he primarily developed his teaching on justification St Paul speaks of faith that works through love.”

As for Catholics not knowing that we are saved by faith – there are just as many, if not more Protestants who misunderstand this.
This was the crux of Benedict XVI’s point. Faith is NOT merely an intellectual assent to belief – it’s a cooperation with God’s grace. It is a total surrender to that grace and obedience.
Many – TOO many Protestants think that faith means simply believing.

So, continue to play your anti-Catholic games but know that I will expose you every time . . . 👍
