Catholics Similar to Mainstream on Abortion, Stem Cells

It is sad, but right and wrong is not determined by polls. We need to continue to pray for all who are deceived.
 
It just goes to show that there are any number of people who have the nerve to CALL themselves Catholic.
 
The slide started in the late 50’s and early 60’s. Catholics wanted to “fit” in and thus started seeing the Catholic Church as just another denomination like Anglicans and Lutherans. Once we lost our Catholic identity, so we could fit in, we also were on the slide down in all things moral and immoral so people would not see us as different.

We could still change back but it won’t be an easy road. It will take lots of education on what the Church actually believes. We need to understand that the Catholic Church is the ONE TRUE CHURCH and all denominations are not equal. All denominations must be seen as different and the right of those people should be respected in this. But they are not part of the On True Holy Catholic Church.

We are selling our souls so we can be like everyone else.:eek:
 
The major managed media are supposed to promote the stem cell “research” idea. And they do promote it all the time. So naturally Catholics who watch the propaganda fall in line with the rest of the mainstream viewpoint like they’re supposed to.

Believing Catholics are protected from this by their faith and know that it’s not possible to belong to the Catholic Church and favor killing unborn children in order to do research, because that would be murder.
 
We need our Bishops, more that ever, to get it together, step up and clearly, frequently, and confidently TEACH US WHAT THE CATHOLIC CHUCH TEACHES.
 
Many churches now a days claim to be “all inclusive.” From what I have witnessed, that includes gays who kiss on the lips when showing each other a sign of peace, and new-wave types who sponsor extracurricular classes on meditation and spirituality not in conformity with Catholicism. Prior to the election I had conversations with many who were unconcerned about abortion as an issue.

In an effort to reach out to all people, I’m afraid we have attracted a large population of CINOs - Catholics in Name Only.

I would like to see churches, especially my parish, offer more bible study and Catholic teaching instead of our dinner dances and bus trips to the nearest Indian casino. Now don’t get me wrong, I love being able to socialize with other members of my parish, and I plan on attending our church sponsored class on line-dancing, but at least some religious teaching would be nice to emphasize our core beliefs.
