Where is unbridled capitalism? There is no doubt whatsoever about which is the lesser evil. It’s easy to make excuses for not helping others - and not to mitigate the unforgivable cruelty of unbridled capitalism…

Is there an echo in here? See my previous post. But you are willing to let people suffer and die for want of a better health system they cannot afford.
In any society which does not help its poorest members. There is no doubt whatsoever about which is the lesser evil. It’s easy to make excuses for not helping others - and not to mitigate the unforgivable cruelty of unbridled capitalism… Where is unbridled capitalism? Where is unbridled capitalism?
Specifically where? And what do you mean help it’s poorest members? In any society which does not help its poorest members.
Yes, we are. This is a representative democracy after all.We are not responsible for the corruption that inevitably comes with a circular Government.
All evil is avoidable. Whether or not one chooses to avoid it is a personal matter. You are speaking about something that’s unavoidable and is going to happen anyway.
You know, we are mortal. This is not a justification for letting somebody die for lack of a proper health system.
We are the Church! It’s ironic that you seem to think that we the people of the United States can do something that we the people of the Catholic Church allegedly can’t.The church cannot provide for everything, and it is ridiculous and naive to expect them to.
That’s right life is priceless, yet finite. You cannot morally put a price on somebodies life.
No, there is nothing wrong with taxes. However, this about the future of our healthcare systems, not taxes. And if that means taxing, you are dame right I am going to support it, and there is nothing wrong with the government taxing people to help others in an indifferent capitalist market.
So if they all fail to accept their responsibility the government should allow people to suffer and die?It is not the proper responsibility of government to take care of people’s personal needs. It is the responsibility of individuals, families, local organizations and the Church.
You fight evil with good, not so-called lesser evil. There is no doubt whatsoever about which is the lesser evil. It’s easy to make excuses for not helping others - and not to mitigate the unforgivable cruelty of unbridled capitalism…

Non sequitur plus an argumentum ad hominem. There is no doubt whatsoever about which is the lesser evil. It’s easy to make excuses for not helping others - and not to mitigate the unforgivable cruelty of unbridled capitalism
It’s not an excuse, just a statement of fact. People have died since man fell from grace. That’s part of life. We are to preserve life as much as we can, but there are no guarantees other than what God bestows upon us.That is the most pathetic excuse I have ever read on this forum!
LOL, come on, get real. Or at least take a logic course.Non sequitur plus an argumentum ad hominem.
“Give to him that asketh of thee and from him that would borrow of thee turn not away.”No, He didn’t.
Another argumentum ad hominem!Non sequitur plus an argumentum ad hominem.
It remains true that it is easy to make excuses for not helping others…
“Give to him that asketh of thee and from him that would borrow of thee turn not away.”

Well, I am for it being free, even if that means people paying higher taxes for everyone to be able to receive it with. This is a big problem imho. But, even more important than this (which helps protect life) is the right to actually live. If only the Democratic party could change their views on social issues. Why would any Catholic be Against Free Health Care?
Am i the only Catholic that finds this idea Morally Embarrassing?
It’s time for a Catholic political party.Well, I am for it being free, even if that means people paying higher taxes for everyone to be able to receive it with. This is a big problem imho. What about the corporal and spiritual works of mercy?Christ preached that people are entitled to our charity. I think that’s where your missing the boat here.
Jesus was speaking to His disciples, not Caesar.“Give to him that asketh of thee and from him that would borrow of thee turn not away.”
–Matthew 5:42
