👍 There is no doubt whatsoever about which is the lesser evil. It’s easy to make excuses for not helping others - and not to mitigate the unforgivable cruelty of unbridled capitalism
Where is unbridled capitalism?

In any society which does not help its poorest members.

We are not responsible for the corruption that inevitably comes with a circular Government.
Yes, we are. This is a representative democracy after all.
You are speaking about something that’s unavoidable and is going to happen anyway.
All evil is avoidable. Whether or not one chooses to avoid it is a personal matter.
This is not a justification for letting somebody die for lack of a proper health system.
You know, we are mortal.
The church cannot provide for everything, and it is ridiculous and naive to expect them to.
We are the Church! It’s ironic that you seem to think that we the people of the United States can do something that we the people of the Catholic Church allegedly can’t.
You cannot morally put a price on somebodies life.
That’s right life is priceless, yet finite.
And if that means taxing, you are dame right I am going to support it, and there is nothing wrong with the government taxing people to help others in an indifferent capitalist market.
No, there is nothing wrong with taxes. However, this about the future of our healthcare systems, not taxes.

It is not the proper responsibility of government to take care of people’s personal needs. It is the responsibility of individuals, families, local organizations and the Church.
So if they all fail to accept their responsibility the government should allow people to suffer and die?

You fight evil with good, not so-called lesser evil.

It’s obvious that you have a strong bias against so-called capitalism, yet you mention nothing of the evils of socialism and the like.

 That is the most pathetic excuse I have ever read on this forum!
It’s not an excuse, just a statement of fact. People have died since man fell from grace. That’s part of life. We are to preserve life as much as we can, but there are no guarantees other than what God bestows upon us.

👍 "as much as we can" are the key words…

Why would any Catholic be Against Free Health Care?

Am i the only Catholic that finds this idea Morally Embarrassing?
Well, I am for it being free, even if that means people paying higher taxes for everyone to be able to receive it with. This is a big problem imho. But, even more important than this (which helps protect life) is the right to actually live. If only the Democratic party could change their views on social issues. 😦

It’s time for a Catholic political party.
