In jury duty it is sometimes the case where jurors are asked to answer a list of questions for lawyers to be able to review as part of a pre-selection process in order to spend less time in having to filter out unqualified jurors (whether discretion is with the court or with the lawyers). In one instance, this question was asked and thought to see what answers will come forth here in CAF: “What in your opinion is the reason for violence in society today?” By the way, you were given an inch and a half line to answer the question!

If that was all the space I had to write, I would say loss of respect for people.

Anger, the idea that one can take what he wants because he wants it. People who hold up stores and banks certainly feel entitled to whatever they want. Unable to control themselves some people feel justified to get away with things. Maybe because they don’t have much money they want something they can’t afford so they shoplift. Passions out of control, they kill or injure others. Or they are mentally ill. Sometimes people who don’t have to steal just do for the challenge of getting away with it.

I would *love *to see the lawyers’ reaction to this answer 🙂
After consulting a dictionary, they’d automatically give the potential juror the flick, a good dodge for those wanting to get out of jury duty.

mgn2010, I would say the lack of prayer both
on behalf of the offenders and the ones who
pray for them.

Was the space big enough to write,‘Abandonment of kneecapping?’

During the conflict ‘kneecapping’ served as a deterrent to violent crime. Violet crime in Northern Ireland has increased from the peace was established and ‘kneecapping’ as a means of social control abandoned. 😃
