CBS News calls out White House for breaking agreement and posting Trump's '60 Minutes' interview online

Jeanne, just curious. Do you think it was wrong for Trump to violate the agreement he made with CBS?
 
Nope.The double standard is wearing thin.Actually I don’t know why he bothers with these biased journalist in the fist place

LOL. I’m not deflecting anything. This is a thread about the President reneging on an agreement he made with CBS to use a recording of his interview only “for archival purposes”.

I’m sad that it’s come to this. The President’s supporters don’t even expect him to be honest.
 
Why not just be an upstanding individual and honor an agreement?
 
That’s funny coming from the right,considering their frequent claims to be better and more honorable than “the left.”
 
Agree.The constant nit picking about everything Trump,while JB illegal,corrupt self serving actions,thst are actually a security risk,are regarded as nothing burgers by the left and sadly many on this very Forum.

Reeks of desperation,doesn’t it? JB the real quid pro quo guy,nothing to see move on,but oh no!Trump walked out on a bad deal.
 
Well, bluster and intimidation have always worked well for him in the past so that’s what he’s doing here; working the refs.
 
The articles are interesting:
The President claimed in his Thursday Facebook post that the full video revealed “bias, hatred and rudeness” on Stahl’s part. But the footage revealed no such thing, only showing Stahl asking firm questions about the coronavirus and other topics.

I imagine that their conclusion that the footage revealed no such thing is debatable. After watching the video, I came to the opposite conclusion. She constantly interrupted especially it seemed when it wander from her preconceived script.

It was not an abrupt end. The interview was interrupted by someone off camera who was saying that this the first warning we have five minuets before Vice President Pence steps in. To which Trump says that they have enough.
It is obvious that the interview, to me, was rude and that is being nice. It was not going to be fair.
I have never seen an interviewer interrupt like Lesley Stahl did. She would not let him get a two sentences out before interrupting. I am wondering how they will present it on 60 minuets. They say they are going to broadcast it. They won’t be able to edit it Since the raw interview is out.

As to breaking an agreement, I would have to see the entire agreement to see if it was.

Just so you know turn about is fair play.If I’m not allowed to state the facts recJB scandal without others finding them offensive,then I guess I’m offended too by remarks made re our POTUS

I and others spent plenty of time criticizing nearly everything Obama did. It comes with the job. I’m surprised Trump doesn’t have thicker skin after all of his business dealings.
 
So it ended 5 minutes early ?

Trump is going to win anyhow.
