Didn’t they? Follow up with, with confirming sources is typical practice. Why didn’t the reporters follow up on this to see if it’s true?

Possibly a number of words. “Transgender” does not mean one particular thing. It’s a shotgun term used to describe a lot of conditions; some of which have no relationship to some others. So the CDC needs to word a study on the mental health of those identifying as transgender, what word should they use?
There is no evidence in the article that they did.Didn’t they? Follow up with, with confirming sources is typical practice.
Just because you can’t understand the meaning of the term doesn’t mean the term doesn’t have meaning.Who on Earth is still believing that term has any meaning?
Because it’s COMMON during different administrations. Also, it turns out the ban (sorry, “guidelines”) wasn’t limited to the CDC, it was instituted at other agencies as well:
How did you find out about that the Obama administration did not want anyone using the term “radical Islamic terrorist”?The Obama administration didn’t want anyone using the term “radical islamic terrorism”…but the media didn’t breathlessly report that because they agree with the Obama agenda.
What agencies were ordered not to use that term? The Obama administration didn’t want anyone using the term “radical islamic terrorism”…but the media didn’t breathlessly report that because they agree with the Obama agenda.
Then I will give my opinion only. I think no one except Trump and his most ignorant and blind of supporters believe the term has any meaning, as he applies it to mainstream media exclusively when it is negative to him and ignores it any other time. Even those ignorant of what begging the question means can understand the lack of substance behind the term.pnewton:

I’ve given you the substance behind the term, you just fail to see it.lack of substance behind the term
I am not doubting there is a lot of crummy journalism out there. However, these debacles make the news because CNN, FOX, etc. are not fake. That is not what the word “fake” even means. SNL is fake news, for example. The others try to make real news. Some, like FOX and MSNBC may overly editorialize, but that again is not fake. Maybe President Trumps vocabulary is limited and it is the closest word he knows to “errant” or “fallible.” Or maybe he is just trying the old propaganda ploy of manipulating language for the weak-minded. What a shame that this might actually work with our politicians working with the budget, at least those who shy away from such things as science and evidence.I’ve given you the substance behind the term, you just fail to see it.
All HHS agencies, but it only applies to budget request, which is limited, but no less weird.Boatswain2PA:

All HHS agencies, and only applies to budget requests…because it was at a meeting between Trump administration and the senior HHS staff to discuss future budget requests. All HHS agencies, but it only applies to budget request, which is limited, but no less weir
