Celibacy:Priests, religious, gays

Why is it hard to understand that priests, religious (nuns and brothers), and gays all have attractions. But they shouldn’t act on them!!

Hmmm…
In two cases it is most likely well ordered. In the third case, it is objectively disordered. Still by the numbers, there are far more heterosexuals with disordered sexual appetites.

Add to the list:
Spouses of someone ill (physically or mentally) or injured
Spouses of someone deployed
Widows and widowers

I’m sure there are more. Many people abstain.

It’s not! It’s just easier not to want to be called legalistic or worse yet judgemental.

Who finds it hard to understand? Priests, nuns, etc… are human beings.

And then of course, there are married Priests.
