This analysis of the flaws in the legislation is not completely shared by the leaders of the Catholic Health Association. They believe, moreover, that the defects that they do recognize can be corrected after the passage of the final bill. The bishops, however, judge that the flaws are so fundamental that they vitiate the good that the bill intends to promote. Assurances that the moral objections to the legislation can be met only after the bill is passed seem a little like asking us, in Midwestern parlance, to buy a pig in a poke.

Sadly, it is our side, the “Catholic pro-life side,” that remains the most “fractured.” Why? Because numerous powerful liberal Catholic organizations are, pardon the phrase, hell-bent on seeing the Democrat leadership succeed in overhauling the way Americans access health services.

While the pro-abortion Democrats remain totally united in their goal of seeing more money go to abortions and abortion providers, catholyc groups continue to confuse Catholics who are trying to honestly form their conscience. These catholyc groups thereby aid and abet the “enemy”. And make no mistake: politicians who wish to facilitate government-paid abortions – and those who assist them achieving this clearly-stated goal … are the enemy of the unborn.

I think it needs to be clearly understood that the Catholic Medical Association has listened to a LIE from the FATHER OF LIES, that our side is fractured because we have forgotten that LYING is the Devil’s NATIVE LANGUAGE. and, The other side is simply far more skillful at this that we are, and that our only hope is to completely rely on the Holy Spirit and to stick to our guns about those things which are NON-NEGOTIABLE! The Second we try to Negotiate with those people on this, the Second we try to “Balance” one need or “value” against another, we are playing on the DEVIL’S HOME FIELD! and, the Second we start playing on the DEVIL’S Home Field, WE’VE LOST THE GAME!!!

Remember, in this case, losing the game has a terrible cost - The lives of millions of unborn children, one last chance to educate Americans about the EVIL of Abortion and one last chance to say to God and to future generations, that we didn’t cooperate with the Slaughter of the Innocent. The only way after this is this bill passes to NOT Cooperate will be to refuse to pay taxes, or to block the entrances of Abortion Clinics.

We can NO LONGER afford to listen to the FATHER OF LIES! We need to take Ephesians 6:10-18 seriously. We just can’t afford not to.
In conclusion be strong - not in yourselves but in the Lord, in the power of his boundless resource. Put on God’s complete armour so that you can successfully resist all the devil’s methods of attack. For our fight is not against any physical enemy: it is against organisations and powers that are spiritual. We are up against the unseen power that controls this dark world, and spiritual agents from the very headquarters of evil. Therefore you must wear the whole armour of God that you may be able to resist evil in its day of power, and that even when you have fought to a standstill you may still stand your ground. Take your stand then with truth as your belt, righteousness your breastplate, the Gospel of peace firmly on your feet, salvation as your helmet and in your hand the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God. Above all be sure you take faith as your shield, for it can quench every burning missile the enemy hurls at you. Pray at all times with every kind of spiritual prayer, keeping alert and persistent as you pray for all the saints.

Michael - Excuse me. I have found nothing to indicate that the Catholic Medical Assn is at odds with Church teaching in any way. You have mis-spoken. The issue raised by Cardinal George and others is directed against the Catholic Hospital Assn. Please take the time to correct your post. Or correct me.
