Some people are obsessed with running around and finding pedophiles. It makes them look cool and brings drama and something to talk about to what I’m guessing is an otherwise routine, boring life. :o

In the case of our Church, they delight in it because it makes their religion/philosophy look better, which is interesting for the following reasons:
  1. If their outlook were so solid, why can’t it stand on its own merits
  2. The gay “'marriage” supporters tread with caution since of many of the cases are same-sex abuses, but still can’t pass up the chance to attack the Church.
Weren’t most of the victims fellow catholics? What religion are they making look better?

This is not to say the priest is guilty. We don’t know. Neither do we know that the victims are lying. These cases are notoriously hard to decide.

“During the investigation into the veracity of the abuse allegation, Fr. Joseph Jiang agreed to undergo an independent polygraph examination. According to the report released, the examiners concluded that Fr. Jiang responded truthfully in his steadfast denials of sexual abuse of a minor at any point in his life, both during his interview and polygraph examination.”

Polygraph tests are pretty accurate. I would say the evidence is definitely in his favor.
