Misericordie:
It was YOU who started this thread on the ATTACK. You keep throwing spitballs at the Catholic Charismatic Movement and then when someone stands up to defend it, you play the game of “king of the hill” because your group is “traditional” and has a Papal indult to celebrate the Tridentine Mass ! You don’t call that elitist ??? You don’t call that devisive??? You don’t call that mean-spirited ???
There is enough room in the Catholic Church for a diversity of authentic and approved spiritual styles. You go to your Latin Mass and I will go to my Charismatic Mass. Amen.
This is just the kind of hair-splitting our enemies like to see us do.
I must say, wow Arlene, you sure sound very charitable and especially, it seems you have sooooo much inner peace:rolleyes: . Actually there is only ONE Mass, the Roman Catholic Mass. I guess most saints then must have been going all along to a totally elitist Mass. Let me name a few: St. Theresa of Avila, St. John of the Cross, St. Ignatius Loyola, St. Vincent de Paul, St. John Bosco, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Mother Cabrini, Saint Robert Bellarmine, Padre Pio, etc, etc, etc, etc, .. But of course, since the charismatic masses came around in the 1970's, then these Saints, must have been attending the wrong Mass which as you say is full of "elitist members."
