Those people who believe there are more than just two possible political positions, which is pretty much most people.

Making non-sensical scientific statements is usually the preserve of the religious right, and I don’t think they qualify as communists.

Blimey mike, have you never heard what happens to heads that appear above the parapet? You are addressing the land of the “Right” and the “Wrong” wher the Right is a political description and the Wrong is anyone who disagrees!!

I agree.

Marxists/Communists will find eith capitalism or religion as the cause of everything. For Karl Marx, it was only social and economic. Now adays, it is everything, uncluding natural dissasters.

Well this maybe isn’t the right place to have said that - but then the people making these statements probably don’t mind the fact that they aren’t making rigorous scientific statements in the first place.

As for the relationship between faith and science - that is far too off-topic and too complicated to touch on today 🙂

If communism is a science as communists say, they should first try it on dogs to see how it works out.

Chavez is Castro’s little buddy now. Chavez would be very very wise to read up on what happened to Castro’s other little buddies. Guevarra and Ochoa come to mind. Ochoa ‘died like a man’ and that was no joke. Castro, however, found a way to make it into a joke. Not very nice.

No wonder the people of Venezuela love Chavez:

Just like Castro his achievements in delivering health care provision, education, and social progress are outstanding.

And all this in the face of illegal blockades, terrorism, misinformation and repeatedly failed attempts to bring down both regimes.

While the US is regressing in terms of how it looks after its own poor and destitute, Cuba and Venezuela show that an alternative model can be successful - against all the odds.

Victory to the Bolivarian revolution!

I guess it’s pretty clear now that leonardoboff didn’t lie in this sentence. Cuba and Venezuela are equally outstandingly terrible.😃
