Chicago Catholics Outraged by Hillary Speech

Why doesn’t the bishop of Chicago just come out and say that anyone who votes for Hilary Clinton or for any candidate that supports abortion materially cooperates with evil and Satan the author or evil and if Catholic excommunicates themself from the Catholic Church?

Would Chicago Catholics listen to a bishop that would say something like that?

No, mostly because he would never say that.

How about saying that anyone who chooses to throw immigrants on the streets should be voted against? Wouldn’t that be the whole Republican party?

This is such an assanine thread. Everyone here has there opinion about the polical parties, when anyone with any frame of mind (or particular a Catholic frame of mind) would understand that each party has positions that confict with tenants of the faith. Unfortunately, the Pope isn’t running for President. Until then, just assume that your vote one way or the other will conflict with the Catholic faith 98% of the time on at least one issue.

Yet, Catholics can and do understand not all issues hold the same weight. No current issue held by the two major political parties is graver than killing unborn child.
