The churches listed did not appear to be Catholic. If a Catholic church was involved, it would have been mentioned. I don’t think this Catholic News but it is another example of protestant pervert Catholic practices.

I’m not sure about glitter and ashes, but I truly feel that Christianity needs to reach out to the LGBT community with genuine love but without actually condoning the behavior.

I don’t think this is a great idea I think. I think part of the thing about ashes is that they are symbolizing repentance I don’t see how glittery ashes do that.

I saw this article on another site earlier and none of the churches referenced were Catholic, thankfully. I won’t venture an opinion on what these other faiths do in their own churches in this thread, but hopefully no Catholic parishes think about doing such a thing in the future…
