Whatever the arguments there are many anti-semites still within the European Catholic Church. How do I know ? I’ve met them, a good many of them over the years.

Are you suggesting that only Catholics are anti-semetic but jews are not anti-christian? I would venture to say that persentage wise there are more anti-christian jews (or anti-anything but jew) in the jewish community than there are anti-semites in the christian community. Why else would they refer to EVERYONE else as “goyim” or “the goy’s” or “shikza” or “shygatz”? I’ve met anti-christian jews. I’ve read the Talmud.

The rabbi who protests the act of the church welcoming this bishop back into the fold, he’s hateful.

I would prefer we not judge the hearts of either. Even I do not like what the Jewish rabbis did, I recognize it more as reactionary than hateful. Bishop Williamson is gullible and supceptable to such theories. The rabbis probably only watch too much CNN. Plus, while I believe the overacted based on over sensitivity, I understand why they are.

I find Bishop Williamson an obvious example of the low class and foolishness that pervades the rad trads. Illogical racism is quite eh trashy.

But that appart from that, I sustain that the Jews still are the most powerful entity in the temporal world and also, do to infiltration into the Church, a great part in the spiritual world.

I sustain that theory of the radical Jews starting the Holocaust to punish the burgeois Jews happy with their little comfortable and mediocre life in Europe and had no interest in the millenial desire of Israel dominating again.

So they clean up enemies. The last Catholic monarchies in the WWI and before that a whole history of decadence and even in the Church (yes my friends, the II Vatican council is just a ratification of errors long within ), then scare the wimpy jews into zionism.

At the end they end up with the world’s simpathy, tons of money, and above all Israel.

Say a word against them, RACIST RACIST!!! ANTI-SEMETISM!!!

They want something. They’ll send the US to do it for them.

They want somebody. They’ll walk in uninvited into your sovereign territory and take him, like in Argentina.

So what now?

Wall Street is too comfortable. They want to take things slowly.

But the radicals want war, and they want it fast.

I too remember as a boy my father telling me how in 1945, as a regular soldier in the British army, he spent 48 hours clearing up bodies at Bergen-Belsen using a bulldozer there were so many. It had a profound effect on him. My Catholic Polish mother-in-Law, whose family were arrested by the Rusians in 1939 and taken to Siberia, were given food for their journey by their Jewish neighbours. This Jewish family was betrayed to the Nazis in 1941 and perished in some extermination center or other. My mother-in-law - who survived the Gulags - refuses to go back to Poland because of this betrayal. My friend, who is a priest, once dicussed with me the problem of Christs ethnicity - Jesus was born in Judea, he was a rabbi, he was a Jew who conducted himself on earth according to Jewish custom and tradition; as also did his mother Mary. An early dispute between the disciples and the apostle Paul was over the Jewishness of the Christian faith (Read Acts) - this dispute Pope John Paul II understood the importance of, being the successor of Peter not Paul. It is one we have too long ignored. We owe much to Judaism (as does Islam). We have yet to learn how to live with that debt.

I am sure many of our Jewish brothers/sisters will be patient with us regardless of the very ignorant views of this bishop [whom I had never heard of until now]. I’m sure there has got to be a rabbi somewhere who has strange ideas…should that be cause to break our friendship? Then it’s not a true, 2-way street, sort of friendship.
If one of our bishops were to believe the Earth is flat, should that be grounds for excommunication?

Lifting excommunication does NOT equal agreeing with his views!

Let’s pray for Catholic [which means Universal] unity with other Catholics, with Protestants, with Jews, with Muslims, with Hindu…if not in complete agreement, at least in brotherly love, as we were commanded!

and c) Jesus - is Jesus some unworldly spirit untouched by the earth he once inhabited !!! Jesus was a Jew,raised as a Jew and died a Jew. He is the messiah ( a very jewish concept). He becomes the Christ after the ressurection. True we believe that we find salvation in Christ, but that Christ in his humanity was the Jew Jesus. What is irrelevant is this gobildigook about how somehow its the Rabbi’s fault if he didn’t understand precisely why the church could offered inclusion to a known holocaust denier…frankly blaming the Rabbi for his inevitable reaction is utter nonsense.

Peccavi, You are supposed to worship God who gave the testaments and the messiah to the jews and hence the world. You’re not supposed to worship the people whom he gave these to.

Pointing out how the Rabbi is way off base because he doesn’t like that the Pope lifted the excommunication (but not the suspension) doesn’t have the slightest “whiff” of anti-semitism to it. However your rush to appease those who attack the Pope reaks of cowardice and shows the fragility of your catholisism.
