I remember visiting Wendy’s website while Dave Thomas was still alive. The website seemed more open about his faith, at that time. Now, I don’t think there’s anything there about his faith. I remember the food as tasting good, but for some reason, I was concerned about the calorie and fat content. It’s also expensive for someone of my socio economic status, which is the same reason I probably won’t go too often to CfA.
Use the “Value” selections at Wendy’s. Get a small chili and a small salad with two or three packets of crackers. Use low calorie dressing, and you’ve gotten a protein rich meal, with lower salt and fat. And, not a budget breaker.

try wendy’s. You may find it tastier. 🙂

A lot of folks on this Forum not eating wisely, it seems. I lost 42 lbs in the last 6 months on my way to losing 100, and a lot of it had to do with not eating what is best described as junk food such as that at Sbarro’s or Chickfila or McD’s etc. 🤷
I also noticed that you are up to 180 posts on this thread.

Proponents of same-sex marriage( :crying: ) use the word “hate” on those who support traditonal marriage. Jesus warned us of the price of being his disciples. Hate has nothing to do with someone standing up for their christian beliefs. St. Thomas More would have had something to say about this issue. The uncompromising saint that he was, will we also stand up for righteousness, holiness, putting god first?

I got to shake both Dave and Wendy’s hands at a grand opening up in Medicine Hat, Alberta years ago. They were both very nice.

CatholicBoy, I think the Christian thing is to take Seeker at his word. His posting history in general on CAF would merit that. 🙂

(I do not think he is part of The Gay Agenda, even though there is no question that the Gay Agenda exists, has been written about by gays themselves, and regularly rears its head by way of new visitors to CAF – sometimes claiming a Catholic identity, sometimes not.) There’s no evidence that Seeker is part of that crowd, though. As qui-est-ce said, he is trying to live his faith, like all of us, and like all of us, could use prayers. 🙂
Thanks.

I am currently sort of a person without a “country”. My gay friends have pretty much deserted me since my return to the church and straight folks that know I’m gay are wary of me-especially the religious ones. It’s almost like people are afraid it’s catching. I can understand why people, would be wary, all I can say is that my desire to follow the teachings of the Church are sincere. I have not been in a relationship for over 10 years and will never be again.

Anyway, I’m like everyone else 99% of the time. I only speak about being gay here so much because I want MORE folks like me to end up here. I want them to find a welcome place here to ask questions and be led to the true Church.

Thanks.

If they are like me, some of them may be afraid that they put their foot in their mouth and say something embarrassing. I know my mouth isn’t connected to my brain very well sometimes. ( this may be one of them:o) I hope and pray that things work out for you.

Not sure how much this will mean to you… but you did/are doing the right thing. Welcome.
Thanks.
