Other people normally use the term “childless”, or “infertile”.
No, that’s wrong, and that’s my point. I just googled it for you, please read this short article:

infertilitycentral.com/fertility/living-childfree-after-infertility-resolutions.html

See what I’m saying? There are people who are using the term “childfree”, who are unable to have kids. Infertility support groups and websites like this often use the term “childfree”. There is nothing selfish or un-Christian about not being able to have kids.

So I’m trying to point out to you that equating “childfree” with “selfish” may be offensive to those people who call themselves “childfree” after going through infertility.

Pete

Hi guys!

I think what people seem to be missing here is that there can be both good and bad reasons for remaining “childfree” just as there can be both good and bad reasons for the decision to get married and have kids.

To say, as one poster already has: “you will see that these people are choosing to be childless” and use the voluntary nature of this situation as a means to assign a sinful character to it seems to me to be wrong. The single life is also voluntarily “childfree.” Do we mean to say that there is no genuine vocation here because people who choose or feel called to such a life remain “childfree” and therefore inherently self-centered?

Okay, again, I am talking about the organization named “Childfree”. I am not saying that being childfree is always bad.

Similar to if you were to say Planned Parenthood is evil, and I were to tell you that some people plan thier parenthood through NFP and it is a good thing.

The word is not evil. The organization is. Are we clear?

In my experience, people who don’t have children, but want to have them, or wish they could have them, usually use the word “childless”, not “childfree”. That “childfree” website specifically states that they use the term “childfree” instead of “childless” because they consider themselves “free of the loss of personal freedom, money, time and energy that having children requires” (their words). They don’t sound like they’re talking about couples with a fertility problem.

I’ve never been married, and hence, have no children (and now I’m too old), and I might call myself “childless”, but not “childfree”. I hesitate to blanket-label those people “selfish”, though. As a never-married person, I’m used to getting unfairly tarred with that “selfish” brush (I’m selfish because I haven’t been fortunate enought to find the right man? Give me a break!), and I don’t like to sling that label around too casually.

Okay, why not? Childfree by choice IS a selfish organization.

Look at what they actually believe. The think the world is overpopulated and that people who are having children are idiots. They promote abortion as a way of not having children. I can’t tell you how many raving pro-aborts I have come acrossed who were members.

From their site:
Because being childfree-by-choice is rather frowned upon by our kidcentric society,
Hmmm. I wonder why. Do these peole realize that neither they, nor society, would exist without people who are “kidcentric.”

These people are bona fide morons.

If you don’t read anything else I wrote, please read this.

Okay, thank you. Sorry to have to do that. Childfree is an evil organization which is implanting it’s selfish, pro-death, anti-child philosophies into society. IT MUST BE STOPPED. And I am out to get them, I’ll admit it. I hate the organization, and if you’d seen some of the stuff I have, you would too. I have seen NOTHING good come out of them.

They are pro-abortion, pro-birth control, population control Nazis who would rather drink and party their lives away than even consider having children. In fact most of their members dislike children IMMENSELY (see www.imnotsorry.net) and would consider thier very presence an inconvenience and nuissance.

MOST of their members are married or shacking up couples choosing to be childless through means of artificial birth control, and if a kid is concieved, they kill it.

The worst thing about them is thier philosophies on overpopulation and children. I have seen those exact same arguments come out of fanatical pro-abort’s mouths more times than I can count.

After all if all pro-aborts were members of childfree.net and churchofeuthanasia.org, then world would be a better place in 50 years. I do wish them repent though

How can you say that? It’s not as if THIER children would be the only new members coming in! It’s not as if THIER children would necessarily become like them. My mom was pro-choice, thank you very much.

Secondly, in case no one noticed, Childfree invented “I’m not sorry . net”. It was thier idea to have a place for women who are proud of their abortions to talk about it and try to convince others that it was okay for them to kill thier own.

That site is sick. They don’t even use the word fetus, they use “baby” when they talk about killing it. It shows they know exactly what they are doing, they’re not some poor, uneducated, girl who has been deceived.😦

I know. Read the FAQ and you will see why I posted it here, as I’ve already mentioned thier connection with childfree.

I happen also to think that on that particular site, there are a lot of Planned Parenthood representatives posting stories and lying lying lying. The internet is literally flooded with stories from women who regret aborting, and NONE of them ever mention brand names of contraceptives, and yet somehow these stories, which glorify PP, do.

Hmm. Riiiight. Shows how low they will go to sell thier goods. I have seen PP reps on women’s health sites, pretending to be just another woman there for “support”.

Christian4Life, I get the feeling you’re trying to get people to help you here with this Childfree website…How do we go about stopping them? What will help? I live in England but will help out if I can.

I read some of the reviews on their book list. You can almost see satan dictating these words. They are the things he would say. Yet no-one who doesn’t understand what we believe would even realise this…That’s part of the horror, that they don’t even know.

This site is MUCH more interesting
churchofeuthanasia.org/
Ahhh!! I clicked on that site. On the left hand side of the first webpage, it list the four pillars of the church. So I clicked on cannibilism expecting to find a tongue in cheek parody. NO, it actually tells you how to break down a human body to eat. I stopped reading very shortly. How do we contact Dutch officials. This is a dangerous site.

By the way, what is she licking on the front page. Is that the world trade center with a plane flying into it? Please tell me that it is something else.

I kid you not guys, I tipped the FBI about that “church of euthenasia” site. I now know who the author is.

Not only is cannibalism a crime, this website actually DOES advocate murdering people for food, and even describes how to kill people under the cannibalism link.

A little digging and I found out the author’s name. A Ms. Karin Spaink, a Dutch feminist and pro-choicer, human rights activist (A human rights activist cannibal who tells people how to kill people!!) who has gained fame for her relentless suing and persuing the church of scientology.

She’s all over the internet. This website is not a hoax. She seriously advocates these things. Take a look at just some of the things I could find about her:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karin_Spaink
religiousfreedomwatch.org/extremists/spaink.html
annoy.com/editorials/doc.html?DocumentID=100089
Guess what! This sneaky pro-choicer is also behind the Nuremburg files!!!
klotenknijper.com/en/suit03.html from a recent lawsuit.

Let’s see if the FBI has anything to say to Ms. Spaink. If not, I’m going to the Dutch authorities until this website is shut down and this sicko goes to jail where she belongs.

Anybody wanna help?

Yep I will help! The site needs to be shut down, the have an active group in the US we need to deal with as well:eek:

Right now the only thing I can do to try to stop childfree is raise awareness. They have a growing following among abortion advocates, but the average joes and josephines don’t know about them yet.

Unfortunately they have free speech.

The other site, the “church” of euthenasia, however, is definately breaking the law. The FBI most likely can do nothing about Karin Spaink, but there are several affiliates in the U.S. however that CAN be prosecuted.

Because this is no joke. They not only support cannibalism, they tell you how to MURDER people for food, and claim that you must do it in order to join their little “church” of Satan. That is illegal. If ANYTHING is illegal on the internet, it’s that.

If anyone thinks that website is a hoax, look up the author, Karin Spaink. She is a dutch pro-choice feminist, writer, and suicide advocate. Haven’t seen anything from her to make me think this ISN’T serious.

Lisa4Catholics:
This movement is gaining popularity in Europe:eek:
Lisa:

But not among the recent arrivals from Northern Africa, who should begin taking Europe over in earnest by 2020.

Shortly thereafter, the EU will probably be known as the Islamic Republic of Europe, and Muslims have NO qualms about having a higher birthrate. They also have no desire to seperate Mosque from State or to allow any other religion equal status with theirs.

If the radical Childfree people have their way, we won’t be able to recognize Europe within 20 years, and you can forget about Religious Freedom or any of the other Freedoms we cherish.

I wonder if they have any idea what they’re contributing to and what may happen because of them.

Remember, Children may also be God’s expression of Faith - IN US!

In Christ, Michael
