Children of God - are we really?

Yes, your wonderful daughter is more correct and mature then her years! Again, my point in starting this thread is that mankind is LITERALLY children of God - and that it is against everything we stand for to allow ABORTION to continue in this, or any country! Life begins at CONCEPTION as God has made it so! Not at childbirth as all liberals would have you believe. They now rationalize that partial-birth ABORTIONS are a good thing! Planned Parenthood is nothing more than Satan’s earthly work shop dealing with the death (physically and spiritually) of both the aborted fetus and the spiritual death of the mother that agrees to this atrocity. ‘Thou Shall Not Kill’ (especially one of God’s children) is a major Mortal Sin that sends souls directly to Hell with no appeal by praying.

Dear friend in Christ;

Two points worthy of discussion are present in your great and moving POST.
  1. We ARE Children of God. In the Genesis account we are told in chapter 2 that in all of the Universe, only humanity is [1] created out of something {not just willed into existence like the Billions of others things and; including the animals. [2] That GOD breathes His Life into ours {making US “Living Souls” [3] Similar to God and unique in all creation of this Universe; as ALONE being Rational. [4] At the very instant of conception GOD gives every human being a Rational Soul.
  2. Abortion is the height of MEISM {its ALL about ME}. Most abortions are a matter of personal convenience. That ANY Government can and has the audacity to even try to legislate National MORALITY is a sure sign that that governments days’ are numbered. {not saying pending DOOM here} ; but no government in history has had a long-life {Sodom, the Roman Empire} are examples. God IS in charge; and such an attack on His Sovereignty will not long stand.
That this has taken place in a open Democracy reflects the HUGE influence of Satan in our culture. In the past 3 Presidential elections over 50% of self-professed “catholics” have voted for National candidates of the Democratic party; despite {perhaps even because OF] there strong and very vocal support of Abortion {MURDER OF THE HOLY INNOCENTS} and "Gay “rights.”… BOTH intrinsic evils and always Mortal sins.

How can America the land of the FREE {except for the babies in the womb} have sunk so very low?

GOD please Do help US.
Pray very much,
Patrick

There is a book that I suggest every Christian and Catholic reads as soon as possible. Originally written in the '50’s it has been reprinted many times. The title is “THEOLOGY FOR BEGINNERS” by F. J. Sheed and published by Servant Books, Ann Arbor, MI. (Fred Sheed, the author, is a Catholic)
This is not a text book - F.J. Sheed speaks to all of us in an open way using understandable language without a hint of pontification . I have read it many times and keep it on my nite stand and read excerpts every night. I have big problems reading the Catholic Catechism - which is much like reading the Jewish Torah; filled with church orders that they expect all Catholics to follow.

It would be a better world if Christians had some idea of what their belief is based. Do you really know what the Trinity really is? How about Supernatural Life? Frank explains many elements of spirituality and religion without preaching.

We are NOT children of God until baptism! Why is this so hard to understand?

John 1:12 - But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God

Romans 8:14 - For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sonsf of God.

Catechism 1213 - Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God.

Stop denying this Catholic truth.
I am going to risk incurring your wrath by pointing out that the verses you provided do not make reference to baptism.

Baptism - means being born again of water and the Holy Spirit (Jn 3:5) To be “born again” means to enter into a higher life.By baptism, grace enters the soul.Baptism is a Church sacrament. To answer your statement about it, the reality is that it is the beginning of our life as Catholics. And a person who has not received it cannot receive any other sacrament. Did you know that a lay person can perform the rite of Baptism?

The Second Person of the Trinity actually was the son of God before being incarnate.

Sorry to hear this happen to you. Maybe you can tell us whether she was prolife before marriage and then changed.

ABORTION IS MURDER.

God alone has the right to take someone’s life.

The Bible says that even when we were in our mother’s wombs HE knew us and called us to be HIS own

Yes it is my dear.

But for those who have done it, God is a God of grace and mercy. There is always a second chance for repentance. The blood of Christ can wash away all sin and guilt.

GOD has a plan for each living soul and you can’t afford to be the one to frustrate them. It would be good for you to fall in the arms of an angry God.

God’s “spark of life” has been seen at the conception of all living things as well.

At resurrection we will have resurrected bodies.

1 Corinthians 15:35-58

The Resurrection Body
35 But someone may ask, “How will the dead be raised? What kind of bodies will they have?” 36 What a foolish question! When you put a seed into the ground, it doesn’t grow into a plant unless it dies first. 37 And what you put in the ground is not the plant that will grow, but only a bare seed of wheat or whatever you are planting. 38 Then God gives it the new body he wants it to have. A different plant grows from each kind of seed. 39 Similarly there are different kinds of flesh—one kind for humans, another for animals, another for birds, and another for fish.

40 There are also bodies in the heavens and bodies on the earth. The glory of the heavenly bodies is different from the glory of the earthly bodies. 41 The sun has one kind of glory, while the moon and stars each have another kind. And even the stars differ from each other in their glory.

42 It is the same way with the resurrection of the dead. Our earthly bodies are planted in the ground when we die, but they will be raised to live forever. 43 Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength. 44 They are buried as natural human bodies, but they will be raised as spiritual bodies. For just as there are natural bodies, there are also spiritual bodies.

45 The Scriptures tell us, “The first man, Adam, became a living person.”[a] But the last Adam—that is, Christ—is a life-giving Spirit. 46 What comes first is the natural body, then the spiritual body comes later. 47 Adam, the first man, was made from the dust of the earth, while Christ, the second man, came from heaven. 48 Earthly people are like the earthly man, and heavenly people are like the heavenly man. 49 Just as we are now like the earthly man, we will someday be like the heavenly man.

50 What I am saying, dear brothers and sisters, is that our physical bodies cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. These dying bodies cannot inherit what will last forever.

51 But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! 52 It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. 53 For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies.

54 Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die,[c] this Scripture will be fulfilled:

“Death is swallowed up in victory.[d]
55 O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?[e]”

56 For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. 57 But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.
