What ProudArmyWife has is the spirit of the well, not law, but document.
What the rest of you have is well, it seems to be like some evangelical churches.
My granddaughters go to Mass without a great deal of difficulty. My son and daughter went to Mass without a great deal of difficulty.
The only “CL” we have is the Weekly School Mass, and that is only because the readings are sometimes changed to the Children’s Lectionary (not this week, not last week- it was the real deal out of the big green lectionary. One time it was the Children’s Lectionary because the first reading was out of Judges where whatshisname promises Yahweh he’ll sacrifice the first person who comes out of his house if he wins a battle- and it’s his virgin daughter- and the guy does sacrifice her). The priest uses the Children’s Eucharistic Prayer on occasion, which is kind of drively. I think we seldom reach for the Kiddy Version because we have a really, really good DRE who knows her business.
I don’t see the big deal with the Real Deal. After all, it is Really, Truly Jesus, not a cardboard practice Jesus in hte Eucharist. How else will they learn?
