Someone should issue a memo to the Chinese Politburo that details the events of an American Diocese boycotting Warner Bros, and how this resulted in empty theatres aross the country, and Hollywood instituting a self-censorship office run by a prominent, learned and faithful Catholic. I think they would catch the drift and “face the facts” that in even a primitive Real Politik mentality, the Church is not without its ability to influence.China has hit back at the Pope for using his Christmas message to criticise the lack of religious freedoms in the country, warning that the Vatican must “face the facts” about religion in China if it wants improve relations.

Agree. Let’s not forget that their products is all over the world and are being bought by the Catholics. Just let me know when to stop buying their products and i will be than happy to stop. I think this would be the right time. They have been very bold lately, I think it is time to come to the aid of the Church. I know the world hates the Church because she represents Christ on earth and those who hate Christ also hates the Church.Someone should issue a memo to the Chinese Politburo that details the events of an American Diocese boycotting Warner Bros, and how this resulted in empty theatres aross the country, and Hollywood instituting a self-censorship office run by a prominent, learned and faithful Catholic. Agree! The Chinese Government doesn’t want to fall…I think the Chinese Government knows that, given the choice, almost all Catholics in China would prefer to be united with the world wide Church community rather than play political games with some Chinese government official. The government is simply trying to reassert its authority after the past few years of watching Chinese Catholics draw closer to Rome. This political tactic will fail, but not without first causing the Church in China to suffer. I pray that the Holy Spirit will be with the suffering Chinese Church and those who remain faithful to Christ.
