 July, 3rd, I was in the church in Dalian, Liaoning Province, because I was visiting a friend there. At the end of the mass, the priest told us, all the mass in the following week were cancelled, and all the priests in Liaoning Province would stay in Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning Province...I guessed at that time there might be a very important conference, and I knew what really happened in the recent days...:(

  Maybe you cannot imagine our unfavorable situation: the government control the army and police, so we cannot say 'no', cannot freely demonstrate, and even cannot  freely  protest on the web, and our churches are under the surveillance of the police all the time...Reports and comments will be deleted, the key person will be searched, and even be caught and put in prison...In the prison and mental hospitals, there stay a lot of dissidents, and many loyal clergymen and nuns died there:(

  And it is the customary tactic of CCP to disorganize the church and then completely destroy it, and it is doing so. Most of the disciples feel extremely worried and sad, but it seems we now have not organizational action to stop what is going to happen...

  Please, pray for our bishops, pray for the Church in China...Tell the people who care about this event~We deadly need the support of our Mother Church!

In fact, many bishops have ever been caught and put in prison, e.g.:the bishop of Handan parish was released not long ago…😦
 
The Chinese government is deathly afraid of anything they cannot control which includes the Catholic Church. For a look at the kind of things the government is willing to do they have previously made it a crime for buddhist monks to reincarnate without permission from the government. I could see them arresting a priest during a mass for assisting in the illegal immigration of an Israeli citizen soon.

Yes the situation is awful and unacceptable in China, but, isn’t there an internet wall in China? How are you posting here?

Yes, there exists a strong firewall named Great Wall =.=b and we cannot use Google, Facebook, and Twitter in China, and we cannot link to some websites and read some foreign news, either. But we can climb over this firewall by using some special software:shrug:we have our own methods~

Prayers are with you and all Catholics and Bishops in China, may Our Blessed Mother protect you. It does not matter how you are able to post here, thank you for doing so!
 
wait, couldnt the bishops still avoid consecrating the bishop by lacking the intent to ordain the bishop. Say the words and all of that, but intentionally lack the intent to do so, therefore making the ordination invalid?

There is, but Chinese internet users have a habit of finding ways to circumvent the PSB’s filters. When you live in a totalitarian state, you find a way.

And I suppose that, yeah, you could argue that the ordination is invalid, since they lack the intent to do as the Church does.
