That is the most apostate staetment that I’ve read on this forum site. You see the biblical Jesus Christ in Islam? I hope you don’t speak for the official Roman Catholic Church position. Can someone out there tell me if Catholics are called to evangelize Muslims, or do you consider them your brothers and sisters in God?
Code:
I didn't say I see Christ in their religion. I said we are to see Christ in the faces of all we encounter. To love them as Christ loves them... For He did indeed lay down His life for ALL of us, including THEM, even if they have not accepted His gift.
What is apostate about loving others as we are called to love?

The way I see it in context of all of your postings, you are outside of Orthodox Roman Catholicism. Actually, Orthodox Roman Catholicism is a great thing, as compared to liberal Christianity… no matter where it is comming from. I only speak the truth in love, because you are either in Christ or you are not. Here is the telling question, do the Muslims have the Spirit of Christ in them based on what they proclaim and teach?

Why are you so opposed to seeing Christ in others?

Do you see Christ in Hindus, Muslims, Buddist, Mormons, JW, athesist and agnostics?

For God So Loved the World - John 3

16 “For God so loved the world, [9] that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. 21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”

That passage shows exactly my viewpoint on sharing the light of Christ with others:) Your definition and my definition of “being saved through Him” and “but whoever does what is true comes to the light so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God” seems to vary.
Code:
Yes, I try to see Christ in all whom I encounter, no matter what they believe. We are called to do nothing less.
Do you think God does not love the unbeliever?

Here is what you are saying in context of all of your postings. People have the Spirit of Christ in them regardless if they believe in Christ, reject Christ, or are Christians. Go back to your postings. We are to love others by sharing Christ with them, and to treat them with the love God has shown us. It has nothing to do with speaking the truth in love to those who do not believe in the biblical Jesus Christ. I am going to assume you are so far on the left from Orthodox Roman Catholicism unless others on this site tell me otherwise. Did you belong to a liberal church or a new age group before in your life?

So that I can be sure I understand what you are proposing is God’s teaching, Underdog, could you answer these questions?

Does God ‘predestine’ some people never to hear of Christ and so ‘never to be saved?’

What happened to people who died before Christ was born? If they never believed in Him because they had no chance of hearing about Him, are they saved or not?

You assume too much. Do you propose that you, underdog, can tell when and in whom the spirit of Christ dwells?

You also presume to know MY heart. I see Christ in others, because we are all created in God’s image. Not just Christians but all of us. I cannot convert anyone, I may only share the love of Christ, and let the Holy Spirit work in their lives.

You also must remember… that none of us are “saved” until we get to heaven.😉

I don’t think predestination has anything to do with the need for Jesus Christ. If you want to discuss predestination as an in-house debate between Chrisitans, please start another thread and I will join you. In-house means within Christianity only. Of course Old Testatment saints were saved by grace through faith based on the future work of Jesus Christ. JOB declared that His redeemer lives. The New Testament speaks about the great OT Saints (Hebrews 11), and Paul uses Abraham the man of faith as central in his theology.

You are so off from biblical truth, that you don’t even know it. I do not judge any Christian who professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior if the do have the Spirit of Christ. I know those who do not profess Jesus Christ do not have the Spirit of Christ. Do you believe everyone is born with the Spirit dwelling in them and looses the Spirit of Christ later in life? This is a Mormon concept and a new age concept. The Bible teaches us that we receive the Spirit of Christ when we hear the good news and receive it. When do you think someone receives the Spirit of Christ?

Wisdom from the Spirit - 1 Cor 2

6 Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away. 7 But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory. 8 None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 But, as it is written,

“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the heart of man imagined,
what God has prepared for those who love him”—

10 these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. 11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. 13 And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual. [3]

14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. 15 The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. 16 “For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

You are the one claiming that I believe we are born with the spirit of Christ, not me.

Seeing Christ in others, is not the same as believing that they have accepted Christ.

You seem quick to judge my heart, I wonder why you are so unneasy with the concept that serving others, even non Christians, is also serving Christ.

we all know that Jesus is God and we know that Jesus Christ also has a human body.so in Jesus we have that which is divine (God) and that which is physical(human flesh)
Jesus Christ ascended into heaven flesh and spirit.
since God is omnipresent where is His body?
THE CHURCH.
now the hand can not say to the foot i do not need you? NO
how can the Church convey the gospel when the hand is saying to the foot i do not need you?
underdog can you understand that you are the hand and i am the foot.

when one is baptised they reiceve the spirit of Christ.
natural is an unbaptised person.

Please help me understand your views. You say you see Christ in those who are not Christians (orthodox sense). So, you can see Christ in them without having the Spirit of Christ in them? Did you know unbelievers are called children of wrath, children of disobdience, children of darkness, God’s enemies, enmity with God, object of His wrath, wicked, dark, children of the devil, etc. All Christians were once children of darkness until God moved us from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of His beloved Son. Christians went from darkness to light, or from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light. For those who are in the flesh cannot please God (rom 8). That’s biblical theology and not theology based on personal opinion and personal feelings. There is a difference between divine revelation and personal feelings.

Are we called to share the love and life of Christ? Or are we called to share the wrath of God?

thank you for stating orthodox Christianity. I know we may understand baptism differently, but I can agree with your posting in my understanding of Romans 6.

Are we called to share the love and life of Christ? Or are we called to share the wrath of God?
How can you share the good news without first sharing the bad news? Do you understand that Romans chapter 1 and 2 and parts of 3 is terrible universal bad news about the wrath of God, the comming day of judgement where all must give an account? After Paul expounds the terrible damnable universal bad news, Paul shares the great good news of Jesus Christ and Him crucified to rescue sinners from the wrath of God. If you don’t understand the bad news sister, you really don’t understand the love and life of Jesus Christ.

I don’t think predestination has anything to do with the need for Jesus Christ.
Sure it does. If those who do not hear the Gospel are damned, then the only reasonable conclusion is that God did not predestine them for salvation. Otherwise you have a God who doesn’t care *and *is lacking in power–a God who is neither loving nor omnipotent.

You can’t just brush this one off. If God wants everyone to be saved, then we can trust that God will find a way to give everyone the means to be saved.
