Sure it does. If those who do not hear the Gospel are damned, then the only reasonable conclusion is that God did not predestine them for salvation. Otherwise you have a God who doesn’t care *and *is lacking in power–a God who is neither loving nor omnipotent.

You can’t just brush this one off. If God wants everyone to be saved, then we can trust that God will find a way to give everyone the means to be saved.

How can you share the good news without first sharing the bad news. Do you understand that Romans chapter 1 and 2 and parts of 3 is terrible universal bad news about the wrath of God, the comming day of judgement where all must give an account? After Paul expounds the terrible damnable universal bad news, God shares the great good news of Jesus Christ. If you don’t understand the bad news sister, you really don’t understand the love and life of Jesus Christ.

What I am trying to get across... is that we do not share the gospel by beating others over the head with a Bible.

Christ is living and present among us. We are to share His love and message of truth… but WE are not to CONVERT anyone, because we simply do not have that power.

We should leave the conversions of heart to God, and focus on sharing the love and truth of Christ through our “faith working in love.”

Your postings are so far from the basics of orthodox Christianity, that it’s sad that your Catholics brothers and sisters do not gently correct you for their love of the gospel and Jesus Christ. Has Roman Catholic teaching drifted so far from the truth of the need of Jesus Christ for all peoples?

I understand what you mean! And it always comes back to " well obviously you never read the Bible if you became Catholic…"

or “You just never understood… that wasn’t the Holy Spirit leading you.”

or, and the one that ALWAYS gets brought up “You need to read up on your reformation history, because obviously, you don’t understand it.”

I'm not here to make anyone agree with me, but I will stand up for what I know to be true:) And I will share Christ, and SEE CHRIST in all of God's children. I will continue to have hope for His mercy toward the whole world. And I believe that in His great mercy, grace, and power, He may save anyone who turns to Him. Even if they do not know Him the same way I do.

All are children of God, even if through SIN, they choose to act as enemies of God. This is so often misinterpretted in scripture. It is not that people are CREATED as God’s enemies, but that through sin and non repentence, they CHOOSE to act as enemies and not as the children of our loving creator.

How do you read in my posts that the world does not need Jesus?

It is through Jesus alone that salvation is offered to the whole world!

And I admit that I do not know everything… as I am still young in my faith. There is SO much to learn everyday, and the more I learn the more it seems there is to know. My fellow Catholics on these forums have displayed nothing but charity and patience in helping me if I am unsure, or incorrectly portraying the faith. And I welcome, humbly, the counsel of others who are more knowledgeable than I. I’ve met some amazing Catholics here who have been gifted with so much wisdom, and it’s a blessing to share Christ with one another on these forums.
That being said... How can you declare that I do not think the world needs Jesus?

What makes you think Catholics don’t love Jesus? We are in his presence every time we are at Mass. I mean really PHYSICALLY in his presence.

It is an act of love to share the truth, I agree But I’m saying that what you propose for sharing it is not the example Christ gave us for sharing that truth.

Thank you Ralph, I agree with everything that you posted. I will take a break for awhile. I was very worried until I read your posting. Orthodox Roman Catholicism is actually very good. It is the distortion of it that worries me greatly.
