I have not read all of the posts just the first 10 or so.

For the Jews the new day started at sundown- Sabbath starts at sundown Friday- had a Medical student when I was in residency who was Orthodox Jewish- wore the Yarmulke(sp) and the “vest” with the tassels and had his beard. He taught me alot- he always arranged with the other students to never be on call Fri sundown to Sat sundown because the Sabbath was sacred to him-We had many pleasant discussions about religion, faith, grace and justification. His answer to the three days was this- Jesus died on Friday before sundown and buried-day1- Jesus in the tomb- day 2- Jesus rises on Sunday -THE THIRD DAY.

Why? Read my OP.
Also you have not answered to Mathew 28.

Is says After the Sabbath he resurrected why have you not answered it yet. Is it because you thought that you can go unto a Catholic Forum think you can outsmart everyone and prove your right.
You Failed.
You have not answered to any of our replies because you refuse to admit your wrong.

EXACTLY!

Thats what I said earlier but Samie didn’t listen there is 8 days in a Jewish week and 28 hours in a Jewish day.
It says in the Old Book that just as Jonah spent 3 days and 3 nights in the Giant Fish. So will the messiah as he lies in the tomb.

I reminded the OP about sunset as well, don’t think it registered. Completely ignored the fact that on following feast of day of Unleavened Bread, was the feast day of the First Fruits. It would make perfect sense, and given that God is the Master of Poetry, that the firstfruit (Christ) would rise on the feast day of First Fruits.

You call Bible facts SDA propaganda? Is it because you do not know they are from Scriptures?
Please read and ponder 2 Peter 1:20 for perhaps the first time. Then, please explain by what authority you violate the teaching of the bible.

Every single thing that you have put forth here is a private twisting of scripture. Have you read 2 Peter 3:15-17? What all of protestantism does, is violate the bible by privately interpreting scripture. Since the bible tells us that the written word must be interpreted by authority (Please read and ponder Nehemiah 8:5-8, and Acts 8:26-35 for perhaps the first time), by what authority do you, or anyone privately interpret scripture?

St. Paul broke bread on Sundays (first day of the week), together with the rest of the Apostles. (Acts 20:7) Their celebration of Holy Mass (“the breaking of the bread and the prayers”) took place on Sundays.
The Greek Bible in Acts 20:7 says it was on “mia twn sabbatwn” or “one of the Sabbaths” not on one of the Sundays

It’s a simple philosophy:

Catholic = WRONG
SDA = RIGHT

Literally, there is no cognition required.

Samie saying you believe in scripture isn’t necessarily mean you believe in scripture. I mean you have only used Mark we have used, well, everything else.

You have yet to prove anything to us except that your ignorant.

So all of what I just said binds into one saying.
“Actions Speak Louder Than Words.”
Nice words there, brother. Last recourse when you run out of biblical basis. Again, where in Matt 28?

Why did St. Jerome (first person ever to put together a Bible) translate it as “the first day of the week” then?

And if he got that wrong, what else did he get wrong? Do we even have a Bible, in that case? 🤷

So, they just randomly mentioned that there was an earthquake? You do realize that this is the Bible we’re talking about here, right? Not the afternoon news, or a romance novel.

There is nothing mentioned in the Bible that doesn’t pertain in some way to our salvation. Now - knowing that every word of the Bible pertains to our salvation, how does this earthquake pertain to our salvation?

There’s the question you need to answer, if you believe that the earthquake was not related to Jesus rising from the dead. What aspect of our salvation, then, does it pertain to, instead? 🤷
Yes, it is related to our salvation. So don’t believe the lie that that earthquake signaled the resurrection of Jesus because the Bible does not say so. Believing a lie is siding with the father of lies.

It looks like it’s the other way around, brother. Until now you have not pointed where in Matt 28 proves your claim. You just repeat yourself over and over and over again, wasting space and time in the process.

For ethical reasons, please start a new thread and don’t clutter this thread.

Yes, it is related to our salvation.
Explain how, if it isn’t the event of the Resurrection. 🙂

S
o don’t believe the lie that that earthquake signaled the resurrection of Jesus because the Bible does not say so.
The Bible is the Bible. By the fact that the earthquake is mentioned, shows us that it is the Resurrection. The Gospel writer would not have included it, otherwise.
Believing a lie is siding with the father of lies.
That’s why we must all be Catholics - so that we can know and believe what is really true. 🙂

Sorry, but I am not into going into witch-hunting for the mistake of others. I started my OP specifically on Mark 16:9 regardless of who made a mistake in translation. The issue is not who but what.

Matthew 28 plainly states, “After the Sabbath.” This is the translation of St. Jerome, the first person ever to make a Bible. (Such things as Bibles did not exist at all, before he made the very first one. Even Books of the Gospels didn’t begin to exist until after he had made the first Bible, in the 400s AD.)

Is the dictionary now your bible? The problem with “bible Christianity” is that, lacking any continuous history, and having no authority, it must reverse-engineer salvation history using the incomplete, fragmentary written record. Errors are guaranteed. 30,000 and counting to date.

Sorry, but I am not into going into witch-hunting for the mistake of others.
If St. Jerome made any mistakes whatsoever, then what you call a Bible is nothing but a fraud - such thing as a Bible does not exist at all and what St. Jerome made was merely of human origin; not Divine.
I started my OP specifically on Mark 16:9 regardless of who made a mistake in translation. The issue is not who but what.
There can be no mistake. The Bible was given to St. Jerome from God, perfect in every way. 🙂

But if not, then there is no such thing as the Bible.

Explain how, if it isn’t the event of the Resurrection. 🙂
The verse is clear. It just rehearses the events that transpired when the women went to the sepulchre, one of which events is the earthquake.

It’s really your choice if you want to believe what is not in the Bible. That earthquake did not signal the resurrection of the Lord. There is no verse that tells us so.
That’s why we must all be Catholics - so that we can know and believe what is really true. 🙂
On my part, I’d rather be a believer in God and His Word to be sure of truth.

And why would they include news of the earthquake, if it did not pertain to the Resurrection? What does the earthquake signify? Remember, the Gospel isn’t a news report. It does not contain any unimportant detail.

Without the Catholic Church, you have no way of knowing how to find either one. 🙂

The fact that there is no mention in the Bible of what you wanted it to have included proves you are just clutching at straws. For me, your last statement is still a dream to come true.
