No, you just read the first page you saw on the website.

Never mind what they “preach” it works, its healthy and its built on faith, which is what this topic was all about. I was having some (name removed by moderator)ut in this thread, trying to help people…not sure what you’re here for.

“as if once you take your weight off you’re somehow ‘cured’.”

Cured of what exactly? Isn’t the objective here losing weight?
Just look at what they’re selling you: 10kg in 10 days! 10kg is about 22 pounds, or 2.2 pounds a day. Someone claimed to have lost 25kg (55lbs) in three months, or an average of 4.5lbs a week. That’s a crash diet. It is unhealthy and unwise to consistently lose more than 10% of one’s body weight per week. And what happens when someone loses enough weight and doesn’t want to lose anymore weight? Do they have to keep following the diet? They’d better, or else they’ll gain it all back plus tax once they go back to regular food.

OK, so what to do now?
a few posts earlier, it sounded like a few people were interested in a real life change of healthy eating, physical activity, accountability and support. it sounded like a few people knew how to set aside a space for this on CAF. if not, a few gals in an email pool, working on the same goal might be OK.

please pm me if you are interested in this. please don’t pm me if you are shilling a diet program.
The problem people have with dieting is that what they do to lose weight needs to become a lifelong commitment, and silly catches like “drink this twice a day” or “eat only these foods” make it difficult because people get bored eating the same old stuff. They can’t go off their diet plan or else they’ll gain it back, and getting bored leads to “picking,” which is detrimental to any weight loss plan.

Another thing people have problems with is exercising. Every year around New Years’ people resolve to go to the gym three or four times a week, and for a while they actually do. The problem is that they made such a huge undertaking for themselves that they just can’t keep up with it anymore and stop going. It’s best to start a simple exercise regimen like having a walk one day a week and building onto that gradually.

Ok, I’ve read some of your previous posts and Im not even going to bother…obviously this is your favorite pastime.

Everyone else, Im just saying, this works for me. Maybe it could work for you too, maybe not. Thats it, I’m hardly forcing anyone to go to the website and do it.

Larowyn,

I’m agreeable that everything you noted are probably detriments to weight loss, but I’m not interested in worrying about what ‘people’ do that doesn’t work.

my intent is to find out, as several posters mentioned, if there’s interest in a weightloss support group. and if there is, how best to proceed.

It is a crash diet. The Bible is not meant to be a weight loss guide, and the claims on the website sound like every other claim I’ve heard made by people selling their own crash diets. The amount of weight people claim to have lost with this diet is proof enough on its own.

It is not a crash diet…it is simply editing out all the rubbish foods that we eat so much of today
