A more delicate, even-handed approach could be adopted by the British government, without question.
The judiciary could adopt even-handedness as well. In the words of the Christian foster carers: “… want to play, not talk about their sexuality.”

Makes one wonder whether the judges have any experience with child-rearing.

See Why Gays Don’t Go Extinct. Homosexuality is caused by a mixture of genetics and environment.

I only ever met one lawyer I liked. He was the only one that old me something true. He said that throughout his legal career he learned one thing above all else, “If someone repeats a lie often enough, soon they will believe it.”

I think its important for me to help you clarify your language, as it will demonstrate what we agree on.

British law protects people better, where sexual orientation is concerned, than American law.

I agree with that.

Though, like the counter-racism or abortion laws in the United States–all of which are probably done with generous, humanitarian intentions to protect people–there are consequences. A more delicate, even-handed approach could be adopted by the British government, without question.
I don’t really care if law is “delicate” or not. 🤷 Or “even-handed.” I want it to be just. But sure, the protection is of people on the basis of their sexual orientation.

I’m not sure if justice can be disconnected from delicacy and even-handedness, and I think that when it is, it becomes inhumane. One can be just, without being humane.

The thought police strike again. As long as the Christian couple werent millitantly going around and harming gay people no one has he right to tell them what their opinions should be. This is facism, pure and simple. They’re basically saying, “By all means lets give one group of people with one set of opinions and beliefs the right to foster and give a child a happy life, but oh no how could we possibly allow a certain other group of people with their own opinions and beliefs to raise a child, despite the fact they would give them a safe and happy enviroment in which to grow up? No, we must deny this child’s right to happiness and loving parents because we cannot force these Christians to have the exact same beliefs as us. Inequality is alright in thise case.” Its absoluetly disgusting. My husband was adopted as a baby by his church-going Anglican parents and guess what? He’s grown up to be a good, well mannered, hard working, law abiding citizen who has many happy child hood memories. But I suppose the political correctness brigade thinks this is a bad thing and would have stopped his mam and dad (who are the best in-laws a wife could ask for) from taking him home because of their beliefs.
