Christopher Krebs files defamation lawsuit against Trump campaign, lawyer and Newsmax

One of the defendants in the suit includes lawyer Joseph diGenova who said Krebs should face the same punishment as those convicted of treason. He made the comments following Krebs’ appearance on “60 Minutes” where he echoed previous statements made calling the election the most secure in American history.

“He should be drawn and quartered,” diGenova said about Krebs on Newsmax. “Taken out at dawn and shot.”

Following the comments, Krebs said he received numerous death threats.

diGenova is going to be a very poor man soon.
 
A secondary result of this lawsuit might be and examination of the claims made against Krebs, namely, whether the last election was secure. It might be the only time a ruling is made one way on the other, generally, on the election’s security.
 
Speaking of Newsmax, SNL did a pretty humorous skit on its election coverage, with a parallel to sports. The Jets/Bills game analogy is well done:

Newsmax et al better have deep pockets for lawsuits. Smartmatic will be the next to sue these “news” outlets.
