Honestly, which looks better? Exposed shoulders and back of the dress aside, which is more modest in terms of keeping the private areas of the body hidden?
(If you wear the maxi dress to Mass though, please wear a cover up for your shoulders!

No I’m not going to pat myself on the back. But seriously not much about attire bothers me in church. Sure I might notice flip flops or what have you. I’ve seen women in various outfits. I even remember last Christmas, a gentleman came with a Santa cap. A woman I recall came in a red and green fleece jogging outfit. I might notice as they walk by or enter the pew. But I guess attire of others simply is not a main focus of mine there.

NO matter what the CHurcch says, people go to mass even with shorts when it is air contioned. YOu must reralize that upon entering a church it is like being in heaven because God is present and it is God’s home.

The pants are unflattering on this model … but then, they do not fit the her properly. They are too tight! A larger size (and probably a different style of pants) would be more flattering and modest. A longer-length top (one that that extends to the hip area) probably would have helped greatly in this situation. Sorry. You asked, “How about this one though?” It’s pretty. But I did answer not much about attire bothers me in church and I guess attire of others simply is not a main focus of mine there. Looks like its not a main focus of your husband’s in church either.
True. And even the dress only partially shows the back along with the arms of the model. The front is covered all the way to the neck. I wear short sleeve shirts to church myself so my arms always show.
I actually have inquired ahead as to a dress code before. But what if someone does not think to look at a website prior to showing up and they were “improperly attired” in the eyes of that particular parish? Would they be refused entry into visiting with Jesus? Controlling whether men wear a long sleeve dress shirt and not a short sleeve one, or the measurement of a woman’s head covering, or that a dress must be 8 inches past the knee and not 7 inches are instances that just give me some pause I guess.
