I’m sorry if it appears bizarre to you. It’s apparently the way Bermuda shorts are worn as business casual, in Bermuda.

Well… yeah… but you gotta love how the colorful shorts and long socks perfectly set off knobby knees! The Bermuda solution is a bizarre mix of reasonable accommodation to nature and unreasonable adherence to arbitrary codes of dress.
As I’ve mentioned a couple of times already in this thread, I am a huge fan of the dress for men and women in Southeast Asia. I seriously wish it would catch on in my own ridiculously hot climate. Combine suitable dress with a culture of siestas on hot days.I always thought that women had better choices to be cool, stylish and modest in the summer, than men. Correct me if I’m wrong!
Thanks to retirement, I’ve heartily embraced the culture of siestaCombine suitable dress with a culture of siestas on hot days.
Me too.Meh, I’m one to wear shorts to church from around Memorial Day to mid September.
Retired. No job. No worries. No money.Would you wear shorts to a job interview?
Though I never wear shorts to Mass, this very hot summer I’ve been sorely tempted…Personally I think I nice pair of khaki shorts and a golf polo is perfectly acceptable, maybe that’s just me.
This is still subjective. The Church has no official dress code, so it’s up to the judgement of the faithful to determine what - to them - is appropriate. And of course, ones pastor can give guidance.Bodily demeanor (gestures, clothing) ought to convey the respect, solemnity, and joy of this moment when Christ becomes our guest.
You are comparing apples with oranges. Basically not relevant.Would you wear shorts to a job interview?
